  • Patent number: 6581394
Abstract: A refrigerating method and system using compressed, filtered, dehumidified, turbo expanded and re-circulated air for the enclosed refrigerated environment. Compressed air passes via a series of moisture-removal devices (12, 24, 32), dust filter (52), heat exchanger (60), turbine expander (65), impeller fan (92), vacuum refrigeration chamber (70) and muffler (98).

  • Patent number: 6172806
Abstract: A universal dual power telescope comprises two concentrically mounted telescopes combining functions of a tube-mounted finder and a regular telescope. The finder rotating inside the telescope includes a truncated prism for switching the telescope modes of operation. The dual function prism reflects images into the eyepiece either through the finder or telescope, while deflecting light rays and blocking formation of images through the other non-selected optical assembly. Both telescopes share the same eyepiece and focusing system. A low magnification finder or a high magnification telescope can be selectively engaged by changing an angular position of the prism's silvered plane.

  • Patent number: 4517929
Abstract: A self-adjusting cooling system for an internal combustion engine comprising a first circuit re-circulating a larger fluid flow, and excluding the radiator, and a second circuit re-circulating a smaller amount of fluid which passes through the radiator. Three valve control system automatically re-routes the coolant fluid with the lowest temperature in either circuits, or a mixture of fluids in these circuits, into an aftercooler for cooling the air entering the engine.

  • Patent number: 4502340
Abstract: A non-contacting torque sensor is provided for measuring the torque of stationary and slowly rotating shafts. The torque sensor employs an oscillating thin-wall cylinder to produce a signal whose frequency is directly proportional to the torque applied to a shaft. Electromagnetic coils drive the cylinder at its natural frequency and sense its motion to produce a signal that is proportional to torque. Temperature and shaft bending effects are minimized by accordion folds integrally formed at the end portions of the oscillating cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4498356
Abstract: A motor vehicle transmission comprising a speed and range sections connected via a master clutch, provides all speed selections on-the-go, i.e. without stopping the motor vehicle. An engine driven input shaft extending through the speed transmission section carries a pair of drive clutch packs for power shifting of the speeds. The power shifting between the clutch packs on this shift requires no master clutch engagement or disengagement. The plurality of speed which are not power shifted engage via gear synchronizers which require the disengagement of the master clutch while vehicle is still on-the-go. The disengagement of the master clutch simultaneously disengages the clutches in the drive clutch pack and is sequenced in such a manner that re-engagement of the master clutch follows the re-engagement of the drive clutch packs.

  • Patent number: 4494418
Abstract: A multi-directional single lever control for a transmission with at least two modes of operation comprises two juxtaposed sets of speeds correlating to these modes. The shift lever pivoting with a lever mount in one direction engages speeds working in one mode and pivoting about the lever mount selectively engages oppositely aligned speeds in either mode of operation. A switch actuated by the shift lever rotation about the mount lever controls, a valve assembly for rerouting fluid flow into passages corresponding to a selected mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 4479399
Abstract: Three clutch system for operating the composite transmission power train of a farm tractor, comprising first and second power shift clutches, and a master clutch connected by intervening gearing in separate paths to the different power shift clutches so as to be in series with either one. The power shift clutches are selectively connected by electrical hydraulic controlling means to a tractor engine at an engine connected end of a speed transmission in the power train; the master clutch is at the output end of the speed transmission, connecting it to a range transmission which completes the composite transmission power train hereof. A digital microcomputer chip is responsive to manually controlled engagement and disengagement of the master clutch and to other critical control parameters, and is programmed to monitor and control the three clutch controlling means.

  • Patent number: 4473144
Abstract: A clutch hub for a motor vehicle transmission is used for transferring torque to a driven shaft rigidly and detachably connected thereto. The hub body comprises inclined tunnels with slanted corridors providing additional rotational effect and more even fluid distribution through intake ports. The hub also comprises a frusto-conical protuberance base blocking the fluid flow from a fluid intake chamber into a clutch hub chamber.
