  • Patent number: 7449657
Abstract: Components for positioning devices that can be welded together via a resistance welding process. The one component exhibits at least one circulatory embossing that protrudes beyond its surface toward the connection side and that engages in the complementary recess of the other component. The embossing can be pressed into the recess during the resistance welding process. At least one of the components exhibits on the side spaced from the circulatory embossing additional embossings that limit the impression depth of the circulatory embossing of the one component into the recess of the other component. This is done such that the surfaces facing each other of the two components maintain a fixed distance to one another.

  • Patent number: 7445319
Abstract: A device, method and system for causing a controlled collapse of cavities formed within liquid droplets wherein a pressurized jet comprising a liquid and nanoparticle material and possibly fuel produces droplets from the breakup of the jet stream. The liquid droplets are irradiated with energy to produce and expand cavities formed within the droplets by irradiation of the nanoparticles contained within the droplets. The droplets are collided with a target to collapse the cavities within the droplets. The irradiating and colliding are timed to enhance implosion energy resulting from the cavities' collapse. The implosion energy and the fuel in the cavity may be used to activate and sustain a fusion reaction.

  • Patent number: 7438604
Abstract: A distributor block exhibits multi-connectors at its front side in the manner of block terminals and at least one additional connector for each pole at its rear side, whereby a contact area is provided for each pole where terminal points are arranged in one common clamping plane. To reduce the number of current-conducting components and to provide clamping of the cables using a spring force, terminal points are formed through clamping supports that are at a distance from each other and that each interact with a contact tongue. To this end, each contact area houses a current-conducting board with the clamping supports being formed onto it, where two each of the contact tongues are components of a torsion spring with a bending joint that is followed by the contact tongue.

  • Patent number: 7435149
Abstract: A system, method, and device for swimming and physical therapy are disclosed herein. The exemplary gear may have a foot portion adapted to receive a foot of a user and a lateral fin extended from the foot portion in a direction away from the heel opposite a toe of the foot. One or more rear side fins may extend from a side edge of the lateral fin to the foot portion in a plane that intersects the lateral fin the foot portion. Embodiments may incorporate additional side fins and extension fins as well as other aspects.

  • Patent number: 7429069
Abstract: A shaped molding strip for use in interior decorating, and an assembly including such a shaped molding strip. Such a molding strip used as a so-called transition strip possesses a mushroom-shaped cross section with a projecting attachment spar on its inner side and roof spars that include a convex arch or acute-angle angled area on their exterior. For the purpose of altering the strip shape, at least one intentional breaking point is shaped at least in the area of the carrier material forming the roof spars within its core. This forms a breakaway end section in the roof spar. A molding kit including the shaped molding includes adhesive to reinforce at least one slot in the core material of the pertinent roof spar that remains not broken off from the adjacent roof spar section in the installed position of the molding strip. Sandpaper may also be provided to finish the adhered molding piece.

  • Patent number: 7402005
Abstract: A cutting tip for automatic milling has the basic form of a parallelogram along whose longitudinal sides (1) straight cutting edges are constructed. Radius cutting edges which are located on the parallelogram transverse edges with the smaller corner angles are attached to it and run into edges which end in the area of the parallelogram transverse sides. In order to also use the transverse sides of the parallelogram type basic form for milling processes, cutting edges are arranged on the parallelogram transverse sides whereby at least one curvature radius (3) is substantially larger then the curvature radius of the radius cutting edges (2). Between these lesser curved cutting edges (3) and the radius cutting edges (2) there is an edge area (4) with a concave curvature.

  • Patent number: 7402058
Abstract: A plug connector consisting of a plug body (1) and an engaging part (2) is provided with short-circuiting contacts (9, 10) within the plug body. The engaging part (2) includes at least one separating element (11) of insulating material that is inserted between the short circuit contacts (9, 10) when plug body (1) and engaging part (2) are inserted to interrupt the short circuit. For the purpose of simpler matching to the quantity of conductors to be short-circuited and to be connected, the plug body (1) and the engaging part (2) each consist of modules (3, 4) that may be stacked one upon the other and are assigned to each of the conductors within the plug body (1) that are of varying polarity and that are to be short-circuited. The short circuit contacts (9, 10) of the plug body (1) are so arranged on the modules (3) that each is extended to the short circuit contacts (9, 10) working together for two adjacent plug body modules (3).

  • Patent number: 7401293
Abstract: A computerized system and method of teaching spelling interfaces with an application that captures a user's misspelled words and adds them to a word database. A teacher or instructor may also add words to the word database based on a user's curriculum, cross-curriculum or words of interest. The words in the word database are utilized to automatically create an individualized spelling teaching assignment and spelling Journal for a user. The user corrects any spelling mistakes that he or she has made and performs assignments with new words including hearing the words pronounced, spelling the words and writing sentences using the words. Spelling tests are also assigned. The teacher or instructor monitors the completion of the various assignments by the students and also monitors how well the assignments are performed.

  • Patent number: 7395951
Abstract: A device, method and system for facilitating placement of a sock, stocking, or other footwear are disclosed herein. An exemplary device may have a lower member, a handle, and a spreader. The lower member may have a first side and a second side. The first side and second side are sized to fit within footwear when the lower member is in a retracted position. The handle may be coupled to the lower member and allows a user to position the lower member. The spreader means moves the first side and the second side from a retracted position to an extended position. In the extended position, the first side and second side are sized to receive a foot of the user.

  • Patent number: 7391355
Abstract: A geolocation system and method uses a single platform for determining a Doppler measurement set of a targeted aircraft or signal of interest. The electronic warfare aircraft and the ejected aircraft expendables technology device determine the Doppler measurement set of the targeted aircraft or other signal of interest. The ejected aircraft expendables technology device is initially tuned to an expected frequency of the target of interest. Re-tuning may take place after an initial signal reading and computation has been performed by the electronic warfare aircraft.
