  • Patent number: 4634147
Abstract: A refund coupon redeemable at a cash value at retail stores when a proof-of-purchase comprising a portion of a given product's packing packaging is affixed to the coupon. The coupon includes coupon indemnification indicia thereof corresponding to product identification indicia on the product and location indicia means indicating a location on the coupon for affixation of a portion of the product's packaging carrying the product identification code. The coupon identification indicia and the location indicia are positioned on the coupon proximate each other to facilitate a visual comparison of the coupon identification indicia and the product identification indicia affixed to the coupon.

  • Patent number: 4620635
Abstract: A support structure is disclosed for vertical filing systems to suspend binders horizontally by supporting one end of the binder on an end support fixedly located on the support structure while supporting the binder from another position on the binder remote from the first end by an elongate suspension means coupled at one end to the support structure and extending therefrom to the binder. The support structure provides for easier manual engagement of binders to the support structure and easier disengagement therefrom as compared to prior art support structures.

  • Patent number: 4519478
Abstract: A ladder extension is disclosed comprising two separable sections to be coupled together in longitudinally overlapping relation by first coupling means coupling a portion of a first ladder section proximate one end thereof to the second section so as to permit the first ladder section to be rotated with respect to the second ladder section to a position where second coupling means are aligned in position for engagement, preferably with stop means being provided to stop rotation of the first ladder section at a position where the second coupling means are aligned for engagement. The ladder comprises two separable sections which is easy to asemble by a single person even under adverse field conditions and which provides means to positively lock together the sections when assembled into an extension ladder.

  • Patent number: 4505499
Abstract: A pipe coupling device is disclosed for sealably securing a cylindrical outlet end of a roof drain insert, slidable within a larger diameter roof drain pipe, coaxially within the drain pipe. The coupling device comprises a compressible, rubber tubular member which when uncompressed is slidable into the drain pipe and which on compression by axially directed compressive forces expands radially outwardly sufficiently to sealably engage with interior surfaces of the drain pipe. The rubber tube is adapted on compression to sealably engage the drain insert. Screws which are turned to apply axial compressive forces to the rubber tube lie radially inside of the drain insert and are assessible for activation through the inlet end of the drain insert. The new pipe coupling provide a means mechanically locate the drain insert securely within an existing roof drain.

  • Patent number: 4503979
Abstract: A two piece binder is disclosed having substantially symmetrical clamping members hinged together along first edges thereof so as to be rotated to grasp sheet material between second edges thereof by the rotation of wing nuts mounted on one side of the two piece binder and operably coupled to the two clamping members. The two piece binder disclosed advantageously provides a symmetric two piece binder with a side mounted tensioning wing nut.

  • Patent number: 4480883
Abstract: An anti-tip blocking device is disclosed for preventing the opening of more than one file drawer in a file cabinet at the same time. The device includes a plurality of locking bars and cam elements vertically stacked in a vertical channel one upon the other alternately to slide vertically therein. The cam elements are engaged by pins carried by the file drawers whereby opening of any file drawer requires additional vertical space in the channel to be occupied. With the free vertical space in the channel limited to the space required for the opening of one drawer, once any one drawer is opened, no other drawer may be opened. The improvement disclosed involves providing each cam element with a cylindrical bearing surface to contact the vertical channel so that the cam element is vertically slidably in the channel while being rotatable about the axis of the cylindrical bearing surface.
