  • Patent number: 7721469
Abstract: An improved athletic shoe for use in situations where cleats are required. The shoe is provided with a plurality of cleats coupled to the sole of the shoe. Also coupled to the sole of the shoe and provided around the cleats is a resilient material such as rubber. The cleats and rubber are sized and configured so as to allow the resilient material to compress and extend the cleats relative to the material when pressure is applied to the sole. Similarly, when weight is withdrawn from the sole, the resilient material biases the cleats into a retracted position, thereby allowing the shoe to move laterally or in any other direction relative to the ground. By allowing the shoe to move freely when weight is released, injuries otherwise associated with an athlete being struck while the cleats are engaged in the ground are substantially eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7707786
Abstract: A modular area wall system for constructing area wall assemblies at a jobsite. The area wall system provides modular sections of varying heights, each provided with a connection plate and a strengthening rib to allow them to be connected to one another in a simple and secure manner. By providing the strengthening rib in overlapping engagement with another area wall section, lighter material of more inexpensive construction may be utilized to reduce the overall cost and weight of the resulting assembly. The system may also be used with sections of varying depth to create a tiered area wall, using teachings of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 7669675
Abstract: An agricultural sprayer is provided, having a plurality of wheels. By providing six wheels, a narrow overall wheel width may be maintained to allow for use of the sprayer in post-emergent crop spray applications. By providing six wheels, a greater amount of fluid may be provided on the vehicle without increasing soil compaction. By providing low soil compaction and a high fluid capacity, the applicator may be utilized in both pre-emergent and post-emergent situations, and may be utilized on wet or soft ground, where standard applicators may not be utilized.

  • Patent number: 7645109
Abstract: An agricultural vehicle such as a combine is provided with a collapsible agricultural material storage bin. The bin may be collapsed to allow for decreased overall vertical height during transport to avoid contact with obstacles, such as overhead power lines and street lights. In the field, the agricultural material storage container may be expanded to increase the agricultural material holding capacity of the vehicle. The bin may be provided with an internal extension mechanism to increase the lifting power of the container to allow for the placement of a second container or other material thereabove. Alternatively, the container may be provided with an external lifting means to allow for unobstructed evacuation of the interior of the container.

  • Patent number: 7628310
Abstract: A lightweight, collapsible container is provided for storing and transporting flowable materials on an irregularly shaped rectangular pallet. The container is provided with interlocking panels across the bottom, which are maintained in position by hydrostatic pressure generated by flowable material positioned within a flexible bag provided within the container. The top of the container is allowed to orient into its hydrostatically biased equilateral orientation, and provided with an equilateral octangular lid. This construction maintains the container bottom width substantially less than its length, with a minimum of support structures and materials.

  • Patent number: 7588395
Abstract: An erosion control transition mat for reducing scour and destructive erosion at the transition between hard armor and soft armor erosion control surfaces. The erosion control transition mat is provided with a riser and a plurality of voids which collect to slow and divert effluent from the hard armor to reduce scour and impact on the soft armor. The erosion control transition mat is lightweight and of a low-cost manufacture, and may be installed without the need for large equipment.

  • Patent number: 7530521
Abstract: A hose reel system for winding a liquid manure hose. The hose reel includes a spool pivoted in alignment with the wheels and axles of the system to allow for even winding of the hose on a spool. The spool is provided with curved domes on either, end and a protective bar to prevent the hose from winding beyond the ends of the spool. Pivoting the spool in alignment with the axle allows for a more even winding and unwinding of the hose, thereby reducing torsion, kinks and other damage to the hose during the rolling and unrolling processes.

  • Patent number: 7363921
Abstract: A crossbow having an increased powerstroke and reduced noise. The powerstroke is increased by inverting the limb orientation from the standard crossbow arrangement and locating string guides at least partially forward and rearward of the ends of the limbs. The bowstring is drawn from the tops of the string guides to maximize the powerstroke, reducing noise and increasing the retained and delivered energy over existing crossbows.

  • Patent number: 7328693
Abstract: The nature of the current invention is an archery device that uses what I claim as Reverse Draw Technology. In essance, what this is, is pulling the launch string of a bow or crossbow in the opposite direction that it is pulled in all prior art. Pulling the launch string into the curve of the opposing limbs, instead of away from them, allows for a longer power stroke, thus increasing performance and allowing, if so chosen, a lower draw weight, which translates to less noise at the same arrow speed. Arrow speed is determined by the force required to pull the launch string from an at rest position to the ready to fire position, and the distance the string is pulled. This distance is called the power stroke. By increasing the power stroke and decreasing the drawing force, comparable arrow speed is achieved with much less noise and effort on the part of the archer.

  • Patent number: 7204664
Abstract: A method and apparatus for drilling glass using a drill and drill bit. The method utilizes a drill bit having a plurality of shaft diameters, and being provided with a plurality of types of abrasives. By providing a coarser abrasive on a narrow portion of the bit, and finer abrasives on a wider portion of the bit, drilling can be accomplished while reducing the incidents of micro fracture in the glass being drilled. Providing an even narrower connection shaft between the two cutting portions of the drill bit further facilitates reduction in micro fractures created during the drilling process.
