    Abstract: An electrical cable connector includes a socket body having two opposite side faces, each of which is formed with a first retaining recess that extends in a longitudinal direction, and a second retaining recess that extends in a transverse direction relative to the longitudinal direction. A cable sleeve extends from a rear end of the socket body, and includes an inner housing and two opposite latch members extending outwardly from two opposite sides of the inner housing. Each of the latch members has a longitudinal portion that is fittingly disposed in a respective one of the first retaining recesses in the side faces, and a transverse portion that extends from the longitudinal portion in the transverse direction and that is fittingly disposed in a respective one of the second retaining recesses in the side faces so as to limit movement of the inner housing relative to the socket body.

    Abstract: A fly fishing reel includes a casing having two opposite ends and a peripheral wall extending between and cooperating with the opposite ends to confine an inner space thereamong. A spool is mounted rotatably in the casing and has two opposite flange portions with free ends that are radially and respectively spaced apart from the peripheral wall by first and second gaps. The flange portions divide the inner space into two opposite end chambers and an intermediate chamber which is in fluid communication with the opening and the end chambers via the first and second gaps. A pair of elastic sealing rings are respectively interposed between the free ends of the flange portions and the peripheral wall so as to seal the first and second gaps for preventing dust and liquid from entering into the end chambers via the opening and the intermediate chamber from the exterior of the casing.

    Abstract: An apparatus and associated method for discharging a fluid and a liquid separated from the fluid from an outlet chamber of a heat exchanger. The outlet chamber is configured to collect the separated liquid. The outlet chamber is in fluid communication with an outlet opening disposed on an exit surface of the outlet chamber. The apparatus includes a plate that is positionable in the outlet chamber adjacent to the exit surface to form a channel between the plate and the exit surface. The plate is configured to protrude over the outlet tube opening so that the fluid flowing through the outlet chamber and into the outlet opening pulls the liquid collected in the outlet chamber through the channel and out through the outlet opening with the fluid. Because of the plate protruding over the outlet opening, the fluid exiting directly from the outlet chamber through the outlet opening must flow through a decreased area. This decreased area produces the vena contracta effect and creates a low pressure region.

    Abstract: This invention increases efficiency of a refrigeration system by maximizing the cooling of the condenser and reducing unnecessary work done by the compressor. In air cooled systems it will also increase the stability of the fans by reducing fan cycling. The fan controller will utilize an algorithm that will consider the following inputs: oil pressure, compressor suction pressure, expansion valve position, compressor loading, last compressor loading change, and current fan stage. The algorithm uses fuzzy logic to characterize the inputs and generates an output that controls the system cooling fans.

The system include a first lubrication system, a second lubrication system, and a control system. The first lubrication system is configured to provide lubrication to the compressor. The control system monitors the rotation of the turbine shaft in response to a shutdown request and causes the first and second lubrication systems to provide lubrication to the turbine and compressor until and after the turbine shaft stops rotating. The control system causes the first lubrication system to provide lubrication for a first predetermined period of time after the turbine shaft stops rotating. The control system causes the second lubrication system provides lubrication for a second predetermined period of time after the turbine shaft stops rotating.

By applying certain switching states in a determined sequence based on sensed values of the input voltage at the three lines, the system and method synthesize a three-phase variable magnitude output voltage from the three-phase input voltage of fixed magnitude.

    Abstract: A ventilated air cooled cutting system for a circular saw that produces a thinner kerf than previously achievable. The air cooled cutting system is comprised of a saw blade having a thin blade cutting portion and a thick hub portion. The blade cutting preferably is ground from a plate, while the hub portion remains substantially the thickness of the starting plate material. The thicker hub portion serves as a heat sink to conduct heat away from the thinner blade cutting portion. Cooling holes are provided in the hub portion to provide convection cooling of the hub portion. The thicker hub portion also provides rigidity or stiffness to the blade so that it is better able to withstand torsional forces experienced during the cutting operation. If additional cooling is required, a spacer collar having a series of axial and radial apertures can be fitted to the hub portion to force cooling air through the hub portion in order to enhance cooling.

The feed and drain channels are sufficiently large relative to the size and flow characteristics of the well and cooling well inlets and outlets such that when the cooling fluid flows through the device, the pressure drop across the feed channel is substantially less than the pressure drop across the well.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for cleaning conductive and non-conductive bodies using a basic aqueous disodium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate cleaning solution. The outside surfaces of a metallic or non-metallic body are cleaned by spraying or brushing the cleaning solution on to body, or by placing the metallic body in electrical contact with the cleaning solution, an anode and a cathode (either of which may be the body itself) and flowing DC current from the anode to the cathode and thus through the chemical solution, thereby causing the cleaning solution to electrolytically clean the body. The DC current is provided by an inverter power source. The body may be immersed in the electrolytic cleaning solution or the electrolytic cleaning solution may be sprayed onto the body.

The cladding has an outer metallic tubular portion comprised of well-known cladding alloys used for such purposes. Metallurgically bonded to the outer metallic tubular portion is a commercially pure zirconium microalloyed with a controlled quantity of iron. The zirconium microalloyed with iron produced an inner metallic barrier having a beneficial balance between stress corrosion crack resistance and corrosion resistance while retaining other beneficial properties of pure zirconium, such as ductility.
