  • Patent number: 8231177
Abstract: A foldable head restraint assembly includes a mounting subassembly, a structural shell, and a locking plate. The mounting subassembly supports the structural shell and includes a first support post, a second support post, a cross member, and a latch rigidly. The cross member is attached to the first and second support posts and to the latch. The folding motion of the head restraint is initiated by movement of the locking plate which is positionable at a first plate position for engaging the latch and at a second plate position for releasing the latch. The structural shell is pivotable about the mounting subassembly when the latch plate is in the second plate position.

  • Patent number: 8232792
Abstract: A system and method for controlling the output voltage of a power supply that includes a control section and an interconnect section having an output point. A voltage regulator provides a control section voltage, and a current measurement device measures a control section current and generates a current signal. A controller receives the current signal and a voltage command signal representing a desired output voltage at the output point of the interconnect section. The controller generates an adjusted voltage command signal based on the voltage command signal representing the desired output voltage, the current signal, a control section internal resistance and an interconnect section external resistance. The voltage regulator receives the adjusted voltage command signal and provides a control section voltage based thereon in order to supply an output voltage at the output point that is substantially equal to the desired output voltage.

  • Patent number: 8230402
Abstract: A method for testing and debugging of dynamic binary translation wherein a dynamic binary translator allows a target binary to be executed transparently on a host machine having a different computer architecture than the target machine involves selecting a minimum set of target machine states for simulation at run-time. A series of target machine instructions from the target binary is translated into a series of host machine instructions. During translation, a plurality of check points are inserted into the series of host machine instructions. During translation, a plurality of verification points are inserted into the series of host machine instructions. The series of host machine instructions, including the check points and verification points, are executed. Execution of a check point determines a simulated target machine state. Execution of a verification point sends information pertaining to simulated target machine states to an external verifier.

  • Patent number: 8225600
Abstract: A method for remediating a NOx-containing lean diesel emission includes providing a LNT/SCR catalyst system including a SCR catalyst and a first and second LNT. The SCR catalyst is disposed downstream of the second LNT which is disposed downstream of the first LNT. The lean NOx-containing diesel emission is introduced to the first LNT with the NOx being absorbed on to the first LNT forming a substantially NOx-free lean diesel emission. An exotherm generating agent is introduced to the substantially NOx-free diesel emission between the first LNT and the second LNT to form a reactive lean diesel emission. The reactive lean diesel emission is introduced to the second LNT generating a quantity of heat effective for desorbing absorbed NOx. A reducing agent is introduced into the desorbed NOx between the second LNT and SCR catalyst. The desorbed NOx diesel emission is remediated in the SCR catalyst.

  • Patent number: 8230444
Abstract: A method and computer program product for providing Global Attribute Uniqueness (GAU) using an Ordered Message Service (OMS) is presented. A database operation is received from a client. A determination is made regarding whether the operation changes a value to a current value and when the operation would change a value to a current value then operation is ended. When the operation would not change a value to a current value the operation is decomposed into ADD messages and DELETE messages. The ADD messages are sent to a GAU manager and GAU state is checked and updated. The updates are committed to GAU state and the Directory Server (DS) is updated. Operation is then returned to the client. DELETE messages are sent to the GAU manager and GAU state is updated. The updates are then committed.
