Abstract: There are provided a novel process for producing [{(5Z,7E)-(1S,3R,20S)-1,3-dihydroxy-9,10-secopregna-5,7,10(19),16-tetraen-20-yl}oxy]-N-(2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropyl)acetamide, which process is characterized by irradiating a compound represented by the formula: with UV to ring-open the compound, and then isomerizing the resulting compound; an intermediate useful for carrying out the process; and a process for producing the intermediate.
Abstract: The invention concerns a product consisting in an injection medicinal formulations comprising at least one compound to provide a viscous formulation, ethanol and at least one compound making said formulation opaque to X rays so as to control its delivery and its action. Said formulation is in particular useful for treating herniated invertebral discs but also in intervention having demonstrated the efficacy of pure ethanol: treatment of hepatocellular tumours or osteoid osteomas, renal cysts and arterial-veinous angiomas.

Abstract: Cell compositions consisting essentially of mammalian hematopoietic CXCR4+ stem and progenitor capable to migrate in response to stromal-derived factor 1 (SDF-1) and/or capable to adhere to stromal cells in response to an adhesion-inducing agent, are provided for clinical transplantation. Hematopoietic CXCR4?/low stem and progenitor cells can be converted into CXCR4+ cells by stimulation with a suitable agent. The composition consists preferably of human CD38?/low CXCR44 cells.
Abstract: A control device for electric motors and a method for monitoring the serviceability of a transmission part arranged for transmission of torque between an electric motor and a load during operation. The method comprises the steps of initiating at least one test sequence, and sending a signal indicating an error if said at least one test sequence indicates that the serviceability of the transmission part is not acceptable and if no further test sequences are to be performed. Additionally, said at least one test sequence includes the steps of setting a rotation speed of the electric motor at a test rotation speed, which differs from the rotation speed of the electric motor immediately prior to said setting, and measuring at the electric motor, within a period starting from the setting of the rotation speed of the motor and ending when the rotation speed of the electric motor has reached the test rotation speed.
Abstract: A sheet electrode with a predetermined thickness for an electric double layer capacitor is made by carrying out a roller rolling step in which a long sheet intermediate is made from a material containing a carbonaceous powder, a conductive assistant and a binder and thereafter. The sheet intermediate is passed between a pair of rolling rollers to be wound up by a winding section while being drawn out of a drawing section. The roller rolling step includes drawing the sheet intermediate out of the drawing section under a predetermined tension applied to the sheet intermediate, and controlling a widthwise position of the sheet intermediate immediately before the rolling rollers by an edge position controller, and winding the sheet intermediate rolled by the rollers onto a winding section while the winding section is applying a predetermined pressure to a rolling side drive roller located adjacent to the winding section and rotated at a predetermined speed.
