  • Patent number: 4062260
Abstract: By providing in a produce cutter a cutting die of non-coplanar cross-sectional configuration which cooperates with the interstices formed by rigidly supported multiple knives the force required to slice or dice produce, such as potatoes, onions or turnips, is significantly reduced, making operations by manual means or low-powered motor means not only feasible but highly attractive.

  • Patent number: 4007332
Abstract: An improved artificial reverberation system utilizing a unitary electro-acousto-electrical transducer of the electro-dynamic type in combination with means for eliminating the driving signal from the delayed output signal, such means including out-of-phase-signal cancellation circuits or time multiplexing circuits coupled to or integral with the unitary transducer achieves a high order of discrimination between driving and reflected signals in the system, thus permitting the use of a single transducer for both injecting signals and extracting reverberation signals.

  • Patent number: 3974704
Abstract: Accuracy and reproducibility of tuning with a low-cost mechanism in minimum space is achieved by a pair of flat, tapered-notch coupling members each being spring biased into firm engagement with the driving member at the opposite extremities thereof and with pins in guide slits of a driven member at the opposite extremities thereof, the slits preventing undesired displacement of the driving member at right angles to its intended motion and the combination of tapered slots and spring biasing preventing inaccurate displacement of the driving and driven members in the direction of intended motion thereof.

  • Patent number: 3972048
Abstract: A conductive body having an opening therein, the edge of opening having a length which is less than a resonant length at AM broadcast band frequencies and greater than a resonant length at FM broadcast band frequencies, is caused to operate as an effective antenna over the FM band or over both the FM and AM bands by electrically shortening the length of the edge of such opening at FM frequencies without physically shortening the perimeter of such opening or electrically shortening the edge of such opening at AM frequencies, a common cable or cables being utilized to couple both AM and FM signals to external circuits, switching at the conductive edge thus being eliminated.

  • Patent number: 3967474
Abstract: Beginning with leather lacing of substantially rectangular cross-section, moistening that lacing to a proper degree, drawing the moistened lacing through one or more shaping dies under controlled tension, drying the formed lacing and then applying an emollient in a controlled amount, a leather beading line of high strength, pliability and ease of threading and with substantially circular cross-section is obtained.

  • Patent number: 3935593
Abstract: Novel equipment utilizing a single head, single gap on a single track in an audio magnetic recorder to permit control of a large variety of audio-visual devices for the pre-programming of a multi-media presentation in educational, entertainment and other fields. Particular structure, including an audio magnetic tape drive mechanism, which permits, by means of a single head with a single gap on a single track, index signal recording, data signal recording, data signal updating and data signal playback is provided to perform multiple discrete and proportional control functions. The same magnetic tape may carry on a separate track or tracks audio information which is correlated with the functions controlled by the data recorded on the device control track.
