Abstract: The invention disclosed an efficient apparatus for solving the problem of unstable growth rate of oxide occurred when the procedure of wet oxidation is processed first and immediately followed by a procedure of dry oxidation. The invention involves in implementing as many insulating sleeves as required for wrapping around inlet pipes of a horizontal driven field oxidation tube to prevent water vapor from remaining in the inlet pipes so as to stabilize the growth rate of oxide.
Abstract: A fold-down handle for luggage, briefcases, and the like comprises a pair of bracket members adapted to be attached in spaced-apart relation to an article to be carried and a handgrip member extending between and pivotally attached to the bracket members such as to pivot about a pivot axis. The handgrip member and each of the bracket members have abutting end surfaces lying in a plane perpendicular to the pivot axis and peripheral wall surfaces on portions immediately adjacent the end surfaces that are of elliptical cross section about common center axes oblique to the pivot axis. The elliptical peripheral wall surfaces of the end portions intersect the respective end surfaces along circular edges, the centers of which are coincident with the pivot axis. Accordingly, the edges formed at the intersections of the peripheral wall surfaces and end surfaces of the handle member and the respective bracket members coincide with each other in all pivotal positions of the handgrip member.
Abstract: A non-volatile semiconductor memory wherein in a semiconductor substrate at both sides of a gate structure, a source diffusion layer and drain diffusion layer having an opposite conductivity type impurity to that of the substrate are provided with a high impurity concentration and a threshold value of a transistor is changed by holding charges in an insulating film in the gate structure, an outer diffusion layer having the same conductivity type impurity as that of the substrate and the impurity concentration higher than that of the substrate intervenes between the drain diffusion layer and the substrate.
Abstract: Shaping device and method for shaping extrudable material including at least one extrusion nozzle for feeding extrudable material and being supported in a carrier common to all nozzles, motors for moving either the carrier or a movable support surface for receiving extruded material directly from the nozzles and a programmable computer for controlling the motors.

Abstract: A method of granulating lime powder or the like, use being made of a counterflow mixing machine with scraping and mixing means. The mixing means are rotated about a substantially vertical axis, and the bottom of the mixing vessel is covered with a layer of substantially ball shaped bodies, and raw material, e.g. lime, is subsequently added in a suitable amount having a specified moisture content, the mixing means subsequently being rotated such that the raw material after a specified period of time dependent on its moisture content, sticks to the ball shaped bodies.
