Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods of retrieving the pages according to the quality of the individual pages. The rank of a page for a keyword is a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic ranks. Intrinsic rank is the measure of the relevancy of a page to a given keyword as claimed by the author of the page while extrinsic rank is a measure of the relevancy of a page on a given keyword as indicated by other pages. The former is obtained from the analysis of the keyword matching in various parts of the page while the latter is obtained from the context-sensitive connectivity analysis of the links connecting the entire Web. The present invention also provides the methods to solve the self-consistent equation satisfied by the page weights iteratively in a very efficient way. The ranking mechanism for multi-word query is also described. Finally, the present invention provides a method to obtain the more relevant page weights by dividing the entire hypertext pages into distinct number of groups.

Abstract: Payments in cash are submitted to a merchant at a point of sale. The payment transaction is effected electronically to credit the end user's intermediary account. Subsequent electronic communications between the intermediary account and a vendor site effect payment to the vendor for goods or services on behalf of the end user. This system leverages the existing credit card payment system in reverse so as to provide the convenience of submitting cash payments at a multitude of merchant locations.

Abstract: A scooter with a combination front fender and brake includes a frame, front and rear wheels mounted to the frame for rotation, a front fork assembly rotatable by a rider to steer the scooter, a pivot in the front fork assembly, a fender mounted for rotation on the pivot and a brake control lever assembly for causing the fender to rotate into contact with the front wheel to cause a braking action.

Abstract: A skateboard may include a pair of foot support boards connected by a torsion bar connecting element, a torsion bar cover tube mounted to the foot support boards and surrounding at least a portion of the torsion bar connecting element and an outer tube mounted for rotation around the torsion bar cover tube in response to contact with an obstacle. One or more bushings supporting the outer tube on the torsion bar cover for rotation. The skate board may include a tube mounted for rotation on a connecting element between the foot support areas. A method of skateboarding may include providing a skateboard having a longitudinal axis running between a pair of foot support areas and providing a tube mounted for rotation about the longitudinal axis between the foot support areas in response to contact with an obstacle.

Abstract: A flexible skateboard may include a pair of direction casters mounted for steering rotation on a twistable one piece skateboard. A center section may be made sufficiently narrower than outboard foot support areas so that the board may be twisted by a rider to add energy for rolling motion to wheels in the casters. The center section may also be made sufficiently resistant to bowing and twist so that the skateboard may be ridden as a conventional, non-flexible skateboard. Wells may be provided to resist twisting and provide gripping surfaces on the board for the rider's feet.

Abstract: Advertisements over a network, such as the Internet, by extracting an index file of suppliers of search result sets for a plurality of keywords and/or an index of ads to be placed. A keyword in a received query may be matched to the suppliers of related search result sets and/or the ads to be placed in the index file(s). The search results may be ranked based on various criteria such as yield, click through rates and history of dealings. Search result sets for the keywords from the matching suppliers and the ads to be placed may be combined to produce a search result set ranked in accordance with estimated yields for advertisements associated with each result in the search result set and delivered in response to the received query. The search results in the combined set may be reranked and/or repriced.
