Abstract: A ball likely to slide along two thread lengths, characterized by an egg-shaped configuration and provided with an axial through-hole, wherein into the said through-hole there are fitted two thread sections of a suitable length, which are fastened at the ends to anchoring members, consisting of a thin strip of flexible material, carrying at one end a loop, the other end of the same thin strip having an arrow shape and being provided with a central hole to which there are connected the thread sections themselves by means of a knot.
Abstract: A continuous coupling element is fashioned from an elongated synthetic resin filament or the like, which filament is bent to a zigzag or meandering configuration to provide a series of U-shaped transverse portions each having a coupling head and a pair of legs extending rearwardly therefrom. Parts of the legs of each U-shaped portion are deformed to provide tape gripping portions, respectively, which include laterally expanded, flat surfaces arranged in opposed relationship to each other. The continuous coupling element is to be anchored to a stringer tape as by bonding or fusing the tape gripping portions to the opposite surfaces of the tape.
Abstract: A slide fastener is disclosed which comprises a pair of stringer tapes of a warp-knitted structure including wales and fastener component parts attached to the tapes. These fastener component parts are made of a thermoplastic material and attached by injection, extrusion, supersonic or high-frequency heating to the stringer tape or tapes. The resulting tape or tapes are provided with the material of the fastener component parts extended into and through the interstices of the knitted structure and further into the wales so as to provide increased stability of the parts against displacement or detachment under severe stresses.
