Abstract: A carrier with attachment apparatus that allows mounting of large drums where the playing surface of the drum is vertically oriented. The mounting consists of three or more connection points where one or more of the connection points is adjustable for vertical and or horizontal locating on the drum, and the remaining connection points stabilize the drum on the carrier. The apparatus further includes fasteners for at least one of the connection points that allow rigid locking of the drum to the carrier. The rigid locking can be easily secured and released without tools. The rigid locking fastener consists of a threaded J or eyebolt and a locking nut that captures and clamps the J or eyebolt.
Abstract: Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher where the improvements relate to a system where the owner of the extinguisher can service and maintain their fire protection. Systems in place today require the servicing of a third party. The service companies (third parties) are charged with maintaining the system. Further Improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that is articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. An external pressurized canister allows easier servicing or replacement of the pressurized canister as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allowing non-HASMAT shipping. These features extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition. The fire extinguisher is construction of components that are interchangeable and provide equal operation for left and right handed people.
Abstract: A golf club head with multiple cells of magnetically held pins is disclosed. The cells are placed on the sweet spot on the head of the golf club. The pins within the cells are set to extend beyond the face of the golf club and maintained in position with a bi-polar magnetic force. When the pins make contact with a golf ball the magnetic field holding the pin(s) in position is broken and the pin is pushed into a rear position where it is held in a retracted magnetic position. The impact location of the ball on the head of the golf club can then be determined by visually looking at the location of the displaced pins. The pins can then be manually pushed to the initial position and the club is ready to detect the impact location with subsequent golf balls.
Abstract: An electro-acoustically amplified drum mixer or sound level adjuster for amplifying a hollow drum shell having at least one open end, a drumhead spaced from the open end of the said drum shell and supported thereon. One or more microphones are supported on, and positioned within said drum shell and adapted for connection to an external amplifier and speaker. A second or additional microphones may be included with the internal mounting or may be adapted for mounting outside the drum housing.
Abstract: An improvement to a writing instrument with a pocket clip and an integrated letter-opening blade. The improvement consists of locating the letter-opening blade in the pocket clip of the pen. The blade is prevented from cutting the pocket of the user due to a blade protector that is mechanically linked to the mechanism that extends and retracts with the marking or writing tip. In an alternate embodiment, the blade is located on the opposite side of the pocket clip. The extending and retracting mechanism can be a variety of types including twist, press, sliding.
Abstract: The present invention relates to liquid fuel reforming catalyst which reforms liquid fuel to have a more efficient combustion characteristic by using minus-ionizing in the fuel. The device improves the power output, fuel economy, reduces the Particulate Material (PM) in the exhaust gas, and relates to a liquid fuel reforming device which contains a liquid fuel reforming catalyst utilizing tourmaline, far-infrared radiation emitting substance, alumina and binding material crushed into powder, mixed, granulated and calcined.
Abstract: An airflow diverter and replacement air intake plenum is disclosed that provides an increase in the air speed and airflow within the intake plenum of an automobile. The increase is the result of providing appropriately sized and shaped apparatus to smooth out the airflow within the plenum and eliminate turbulence that increase pressure within the plenum and cause a restriction of air movement. The diverter is configured in a triangular shape to divert the air from a single input port into two output ports. The apparatus is ideally configured for use in a Porsche, but can be configured for other automobiles and engines.
Abstract: A lighting fixture where the lighting fixture does not require a single ballast, but instead uses the ballast incorporated in a plethora of efficient light elements. The lighting fixture is used where high bay or low bay lighting may be used, but incorporates multiple light sources to provide an equivalent light intensity. The multiple light sources can be multiple fluorescent, LED, or other efficient light sources to provide a less expensive cost of operation and installation. The higher efficiency lights could be standard socket type fluorescent bulbs that are easily available. The higher efficiency lights would also create less heat that would further reduce the air conditioning or cooling costs for the buiding.
Abstract: An improved spatula is presented that has a handle shaped to permit easy removal of the contents of condiment containers. The spatula handle possesses a double angled offset such that when held in the hand, the spatula head makes flush contact with the walls of a condiment container.
Abstract: Drum hardware and drum secured thereon are preferably supported on a vest type, T-bar or tubular carrier having a plurality of separate parts removable from each other and formed of a rigid plastic, light metal such as magnesium, aluminum or titanium. The removable hardware includes a removable back support member. The instrument carrier includes an articulating hinge that allows for positive, negative or neutral horizontal positioning of the instruments. The articulating hinge assembly further allows the carrier to be folded for easier transportation and storage in a smaller area.
Abstract: A tunable drum having a hollow drum shell, and imperforate drumhead closing at least one end of said drum shell. One or more opening extend through the drum shell for acoustic venting, and valves are provided for adjusting the size of the openings to vary the amount of acoustic venting, effecting the drums volume, pitch, tone, timbre and stick or hand response. The valves may be movable slid valves, e.g., slidable or pivotable, between an open and a closed position or “F-holes”. Valves may consist of a ring member positioned for rotation inside said drum and slidable endwise of the drum to cover or uncover said drum openings, or the ring member may have openings that match the drum openings and operable to cover or uncover the openings or rotation. A handle for rotation of the ring member extends outside the shell for movement by the drummer.
Abstract: Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simpler untrained and automatic self servicing of a fire extinguisher. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a CO2 canister located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO2 canister as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.
