  • Patent number: 5738883
Abstract: A cassette mold holder (7) has a cassette mold insertion portion (12) into which a cassette mold (14) is inserted from above. The insertion portion (12) is inclined with respect to a vertical line (VL) by about 6.degree. when the holder (7) is attached to an injection molding machine. An insertion port (121) of the insertion portion (12) is large, and the inside surfaces (12b, 12c) adjacent to the insertion port have tapered surfaces (12d, 12e) respectively to guide the cassette mold into the insertion hollow portion. Since the insertion portion (12) is inclined, when the cassette mold (14) is inserted, one of the inside surfaces (12b) and the bottom (122) function as reference surfaces to position the cassette mold automatically. Further, the cassette mold (14) can be inserted easily along the tapered surfaces (12d, 12e).

  • Patent number: 5561963
Abstract: An apparatus for preparing sets of documents comprises a document conveyor, a shunting station, a folding station, and a controller. A scanner determines the length of the conveyed documents in a set or the space between successive documents sets. The control acts responsive to the determined length or space, and adjusts the cycle speed of the apparatus so that the documents sets are conveyed with a minimum of intervening space without colliding. The invention also includes a method for controlling the apparatus of the invention.

  • Patent number: 5496388
Abstract: A system for extracting nitrogen from air to produce a flow of nitrogen includes a compressor for compressing air and an air separator connected to the compressor for producing nitrogen from the compressed air. The compressor is provided with a reducing device for reducing an effective length of the rotatable rotors which acts to compress air in order to cause the compressor to operate at less than full capacity. An internal pressure control regulator operatively associated with the compressor regulates the discharge pressure from the compressor and provides a signal air pressure when the compressor discharge pressure exceeds a predetermined pressure. An external input device allows an external signal indicative of a compressor operating level that is less than full capacity to be inputted and provides a signal air pressure based on the external signal.
