Abstract: Described is a gas phase permeable filter and method for making same comprising the steps:1. providing a gas phase permeable substrate having opposite surfaces;2. applying an adhesive to one or both of the surfaces of the substrate;3. applying particulate gas phase odor-removing means to the adhesive coated surface or surfaces of the substrate;4. drying the adhesive; and5. assembling the substrate in a desired filter configuration wherein the outer surface of the filter is a surface of the substrate free of particulate gas phase odor-removing means and the inner surface of the filter is a surface of the substrate coated with the particulate gas phase odor-removing means adhesively secured thereto.

Abstract: Described is an adhesively securable fastener comprising a body having an opening; an adhesive positioned within said body and registering with the opening of the chamber, a plunger means for applying pressure to said adhesive such as against an anvil means thereby adhesively securing the fastener to a substrate. Also described is a method for securing a substrate using the fastener described herein.
Abstract: A telescopic sight mount for attachment to a pair of inwardly inclined surfaces on opposite sides of a sight mounting surface includes a mount body having a surface adapted to bear against the sight mounting surface and also having an inclined surface for cooperation with one of the inclined surfaces at one side of the sight mounting surface, and a shoe clamp pivotably connected by screw means to the mount with one end bearing against the mount and another end bearing against the other inclined surface at the opposite side of the sight mounting surface.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for quickly determining leakage of a test chamber in a production environment wherein a reference chamber is exposed to the same temperature effects as those existing in the test chamber and gas pressures are applied to the reference and test chambers and the pressures are compared in the test and reference chambers and relative changes of such pressures are read as a function of leakage.
Abstract: An assembly is provided for mounting on an end of a robot arm actuator as an integral spot resistance welding gun and transformer unit. A gun slide support bracket is connected to the transformer and serves to provide a mount for a sliding gun cylinder having a piston connected to one of the jaw electrodes. The lower jaw is removably connected to the cylinder. Roller shunts are used to provide electrical connection between secondary terminals on the transformer and the two electrodes. A proximity switch assembly is advantageously utilized to provide signals to the robot controller indicating a fully retracted position of the jaws.
Abstract: An adjustable pedal assembly for a vehicle having foot pedals which are shiftable longitudinally to vary the distances between the pedals and the driver. The pedal assembly is made up of a frame, one or more rotatable pedals fixed to the frame, and a power transmission device coupled to the frame and to the pedals for providing an output in response to pedal rotation.
Abstract: A motor-driven miniature vehicle having a wheel base less than or equal to its track, a pair of steerable front wheels and a pair of rear wheels, at least one of which is driven. The vehicle has positive camber and sufficient torsional stiffness and wheel radial spring rate so that the inside rear wheel is lifted completely off the ground in a turning maneuver. The vehicle being further provided with an engine drive train and mounting system which employs two centrifugal clutches, one having a low abrupt engagement and disengagement and the other having a gradual higher speed engagement and disengagement.
Abstract: An access door for an air conditioning duct or the like has a circular frame intended to be rotated into a circular opening in the duct wall. The frame has an inwardly extending circular shoulder against which abuts a removable circular door held in place by latch means engaging within a circular groove formed in the frame.
Abstract: Disclosed is a fastener assembly comprising a number of fasteners each comprising a head, a crossbar and a filament interconnecting the head and the crossbar, each adjacent crossbars being interconnected through a connecting element in a manner of not undergoing a change in their relative positions, the number of crossbars in the fastener assembly being arranged in the form of a sheet as a whole.
Abstract: A steering system for a vehicle having a pair of levers pivotably affixed to the chassis connecting the output of the steering gear mechanism, to tie rods which connect to the wheel assembly steering input. The steering system minimizes the space required for steering linkage.
Abstract: Described is a method of manufacture of bond implant so to create a porous surface. The bone implant is made of titanium or titanium alloy. The porous surfaces are attached to a titanium substrate by use of a joinder agent including copper, nickel and indium, which is heated to temperatures less than the beta transus.
Abstract: A low profile snap fastener comprising a telescoping stud and receiver has latching and locking diameters measured across the stud which are so related to the internal diameter of the receiver that the stud and receiver can only be telescoped to and from a locked position by a predetermined relative motion between them.
Abstract: A forearm developer having a cylindrical handle with a rope suspended from its center for attachment to a weight to raise same by twistingly rotating the handle. The handle is supported by a suspended frame having two depending parallel spaced apart support loops into which the opposing ends of the handle are placed for rotatable support.
Abstract: Foot pods in a vehicle having a seated occupant which provide a footrest for various size people without necessitating the movement of the seat. The foot pods are made of a series of transverse V-shaped grooves generally perpendicular to the occupant's leg which are formed in a recess in the body of the vehicle.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a loose screen-stencil-roller showing at its cylindrical outer surface a pattern of indentations, comprising the steps of starting with a smooth-walled support cylinder being either a hollow thick-walled roller or a massive roller, upon which a thin-walled sieve is pushed, after which the sieve is clampingly secured upon said cylinder: the invention also deals with an apparatus for applying this method comprising a support cylinder with fluid passages enabling the mounting and removal of the sieve around its outer periphery.
Abstract: An elastic cushion formed of a elastic cushion tube and a supporting frame. The cushion tube is slit axially to create a pair of slit edges which are elastically expanded to create a cushion tube of C-shaped cross section. The slit edges of the cushion tube are retained in a pair of spaced-apart axial grooves formed in the frame member so that the cushion tube will elastically deform when loaded in a region generally opposite the expanded slit.
Abstract: A skeining machine has a looping member arranged to move in an elongated endless track having recurvate ends with a pair of looping needles arranged within said path to have a filament looped thereon during revolution of the looping member about the path with one of the needles being a spinner needle mounted on a rotatable shaft at an acute angle extending away from the other needle, and the spinner needle being disposed adjacent one of the recurvate ends of the looping member path and having the root of the connection between the spinner needle and the rotatable shaft on which it is mounted being disposed between the path of movement of the looping member and the center of recurvature of the looping member path.
