Abstract: An archery bow sight is set forth which may be affixed to a conventional bow for a vertical sighting irrespective of the rotation of the bow. The bow sight includes a plurality of curved pins representing different target ranges, but with each individual curved pin being a constant distance from the axis of the arrow such that the curvature of the pins allows for the bow to be tilted without affecting accuracy.
Abstract: Method and apparatus is set forth for forming a laminated gob or charge of molten glass having a core glass which is not only completely surrounded by a skin glass but also has a reentrant portion of skin glass which projects inwardly within the core glass from the periphery of the molten charge intermediate its upper and lower extent. The reentrant portion of skin glass is formed within the charge during the gobbing cycle by momentarily retarding or retracting the outward flow of the core glass while simultaneously positively pulsing the flow of the skin glass. Thus, a laminated gob or charge of molten glass is formed which not only has a skin glass completely surrounding and encompassing a core glass but also has a reentrant portion of the skin glass which is continuous with the remainder of the skin glass surrounding the core glass.
Abstract: In a flat panel display system including a polyhedral enclosing housing structure having opposed front and back panels, which structure requires a subatmospheric or evacuated environment for the performance of the electronic components contained therein, a plurality of substantially parallel transversely spaced apart and longitudinally extending supporting vanes are fixtured within said housing between said front and back panels for limited movement within said housing prior to evacuating the interior thereof and for engagably supporting said front and back panels against the forces generated by atmospheric pressure when said interior is evacuated.
Abstract: Method and apparatus are set forth for forming articles from molten sheet glass wherein the molten sheet glass initially substantially conforms to a mold cavity by a combination of vacuum and/or gravity, and then while still in a semi-molten condition the sheet is pressed into a finished ware article.
