Abstract: A garment for the disabled which may be removed while the disabled person remains sitting the garment comprises two major parts. A body which is openable in the back and a back panel that is attachable to the body of the garment so that the opening through the garment is covered. The back panel remains beneath the user of the garment when the body of the garment is removed. The garment is particularly useful to those unable to stand or for whom standing is difficult, particularly without assistance.
Abstract: This invention describes a ram-air type inflatable wing that is resistant to deflation. The inflatable air wing includes a plurality of cells disposed between the top and bottom skins of the wing, with at least one valve positioned within each of a plurality of cells. Each valve generally inhibits deflation of the cells when the air pressure inside the cells is greater than the air pressure outside the cells and permits the cells to inflate when the air pressure outside the cell is greater than the air pressure inside the cells.
Abstract: A folding trailer is disclosed for carrying a motorcycle including a front deck with a rear edge extending generally transversely of the trailer, a rear deck with a front edge extending generally transversely of the trailer and generally parallel to the front deck rear edge, hinge means including a pivot axis connecting the front deck to the rear deck so that the trailer folds around the pivot axis between an extended position in which the front and rear decks are generally co-extensive and a folded position in which the front and rear decks are positioned generally facing one another, an axle mounted generally transversely of the trailer to the rear deck rearwardly of the hinge means including a first and a second end, and a road wheel attached to the axle first end and a road wheel attached to the axle second end, so that the trailer is designed to move generally normal to the axle.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for separating the pulp from the skin of fruit, such as tomatoes, in which each fruit is gripped and transported by mechanism along a predetermined path, a cut to the skin of the fruit is produced by cutting device adjacent the path and the pulp is urged away from the gripping and transporting apparatus at a pulp discharge position while the skin remains gripped by that apparatus to separate the pulp from the skin.
Abstract: A man overboard rescue device for use on a sailboat having a mast supported by shrouds includes a boom, structure for attaching the boom to the shrouds, a recovery line having one end attached to the boat and the other end fed through a guide attached adjacent the outer end of the boom, a sling arrangement attached to the other end of the recovery line and a container with a selectively openable closure and attached to the boat for releasably containing the sling and the portion of the recovery line adjacent the sling.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for separating the meat of an olive into two end portions and preparing such an olive for packing. This method and apparatus provides for receiving an olive and producing a cut substantially through the meat in a plane transverse to an axis extending through the ends of the olive, thus defining a pair of olive meat end portions each extending around and adhered to a portion of the olive pit, with the receiving and cut-producing structure being configured to restrain movement of the olive end portion along the axis while permitting movement of the pit of the olive along that axis. Also provided are first and second punches each aligned with and mounted for reciprocation along the axis between two sets of respective positions, in one set the punches being outside the respective ends of the olive meat end portions and in the other set of positions the punches extending at least partially through the olive meat end portions sufficient to dislodge the pit from the end portions.

Abstract: Wind driven apparatus for the production of power at a ground location includes an aerodynamic lift generating vehicle capable of maintaining a stable airborne orientation, a tether linking the vehicle to a ground location, mechanical power generating equipment carried by the vehicle and responsive to relative motion between the air and the vehicle, apparatus for converting the generated power to reciprocating motion and structure for transmitting the reciprocating motion along the tether to the ground.
Abstract: A manually operated press comprising a base, a movable platen opposed to the base and a frame attached to the base and carrying a movable platen includes a novel platen supporting and actuating structure which provides for adjustment of the pressure to be exerted by the press upon an object placed between the base and the platen and for adjustment to compensate for the thickness of the object to be placed between the platen and the base.
