Abstract: An apparatus and method for emulating a shared or source distribution tree within an MPLS network. In one embodiment of the method, a router receives a multicast data packet. The router transmits the multicast data packet to a first router via a first point-to-point label switched path (LSP). The router replicates the multicast data packet to produce a replicated multicast data packet. Then the router transmits the replicated multicast data packet to a second router via a second point-to-point LSP. The first point-to-point LSP is distinct from the second point-to-point LSP.
Abstract: A method, user interface module, computer program product, computer system and system that enable a graphical user interface to be used by persons with visual disabilities. The graphical user interface includes a toolbar, which provides features that enable a visually disabled user to navigate and activate the functions provided by buttons or other controls on the communication toolbar. As a user navigates around the user interface, auditory messages are read describing functionality of different features of the graphical user interface. The text can be audibly read by, for example, a screen reader module. By using a hotkey or menu navigation, a user can issue commands that would normally be issued by clicking on the toolbar. Furthermore, the user can type text into text input boxes, select items from combo boxes, enable broadcast messages to be read, and choose to listen to status messages.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus or computer executable method of detecting and repairing corrupt data in a RAID data storage system. In one embodiment, parity and checksum data are stored in the RAID data storage system for each stripe that stores data. The parity data is used to determine whether data in the corresponding stripe is corrupt. If stripe data is determined to be corrupt, the checksum data is used to correct the corruption.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and circuit for synchronizing dual data buses. In one embodiment, the method includes a receiving circuit receiving first and second streams of multibit data portions transmitted via first and second parallel data buses, respectively, coupled thereto. The receiving circuit compares first-stream multibit data portions with a first predefined multibit data portion to identify a first-stream multibit data portion that matches the first predefined multibit data portion. The receiving circuit stores into a first FIFO, all first-stream multibit data portions that follow the identified first-stream multibit data portion. The receiving circuit also compares second-stream multibit data portions with a second predefined multibit data portion to identify a second-stream multibit data portion that matches the second predefined multibit data portion.
