  • Patent number: 8055921
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for a low power data transfer mode for mobile computing devices. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for low power data transfer in a battery powered computing device can be provided. The method can include powering up a battery powered computing device, booting into a primary personal computing operating system in the device and storing a document into fixed storage for the device, and subsequently re-booting into an auxiliary low-power consumption operating system in the device, establishing a short range radio frequency communications link between the battery powered computing device and an external pervasive device, and transmitting the stored document to the pervasive device over the short range radio frequency communications link.

  • Patent number: 8032521
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to structured content storage and provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and computer program product for managing structured content stored in a BLOB. In an embodiment of the invention, a performance optimized structured content management system can include a content repository, a content manager configured to provide access to structured content in the content repository and multiple different performance optimized containers disposed in the content repository. Each of the containers can store a portion of the structured content, and each of the containers can include a flattened form of original structured content in a primary binary large object (BLOB) and a parsed form of the original structured content in a secondary BLOB, the parsed form of the original structured content in the secondary BLOB indexing the flattened form of the original structured content in the primary BLOB.

  • Patent number: 8005934
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for deploying and delivering composite services in an NGN network. In one embodiment of the invention, a channel presence detection method for a composite services enablement environment can include establishing multiple channels of access to a common session for a composite service, synchronizing changes of state for a model for the common session in the views for the channels of access to the composite service, and periodically indicating in at least one of the views, a listing of the established channels of access. In one aspect of the invention, periodically indicating a listing of the established channels of access can include detecting an update to the model indicating a change in established channels of access to the common session.

  • Patent number: 7992030
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to digital signal transmissions and provide a novel and non-obvious fall time accelerator circuit for use in a USB interface. In one embodiment of the invention, the USB interface can include a USB port driver coupled to a host controller driver over a USB bus. The USB interface also can include a fall time accelerator circuit coupled to the USB bus between the USB port driver and the host controller driver. The fall time accelerator circuit can include a pulse signal generator coupled to an inbound signal path from the USB bus and arranged to generate a tunable pulse upon detecting a falling edge of a digital signal on the inbound signal path. The circuit further can include an active timer additionally coupled to the inbound signal path to hold the tunable pulse for a set period of time.

  • Patent number: 7640538
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for applying virtual threads in debugging a business process program. In accordance with the present invention, different activities in a business process can be associated with corresponding virtual thread identifiers where groups of the activities related to one another through corresponding links can be assigned a single virtual thread identifier. Based upon the association of activities with corresponding virtual thread identifiers, a directed graph of different activities of different virtual thread identifiers can be generated. Accordingly, debug operations including applying breakpoints, step over debugging and the like can be applied to a business process program regardless of the host platform for any one activity in the business process program.

  • Patent number: 7099445
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for name-alias based delivery of services through the public switched telephone network (PSTN). A method for resolving caller identity in a PSTN can include detecting an attempt to establish a telephone call between a calling party and a called party and prompting the calling party from within the PSTN for clarifying information. An alias for the calling party can be resolved based upon the clarifying information. Subsequently, the alias can be forwarded to the called party for use by the called party in identifying the calling party at the time of the telephone call.
