  • Patent number: 6996860
Abstract: A construction protective covering for covering and protecting delicate finishes on previously installed bathroom components on a construction job site from damage due to dropped tools and construction workers working in the vicinity of the installed component includes a double skinned, sheeted material protective covering having a center material between the double skins, the protective covering being sized to install within and cover either a bathtub or a shower stall enclosure including its front face and floor, the sheeted material having a thickness of from about ?? to about 5? thick, such that the sheeted material covering protects the shower stall enclosure and its floor.

  • Patent number: 5676410
Abstract: A home security device comprising a first attachment device, mounted on a distal end of a first rigid arm, adapted to be removably secured to a door or window, a second attachment device, mounted on a distal end of a second rigid arm, adapted to be removably secured to a floor or wall adjacent to the door or window, proximal ends of the first and second rigid arms positioned end to end forming a substantially straight line, and a fastening device, releasably holding the proximal ends in position, adapted to remain secure against force exerted at the distal ends of the rigid arms and to release the proximal ends from position in response to force exerted near the proximal ends and substantially perpendicular to the axis of the rigid arms.

  • Patent number: 5300299
Abstract: Hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive compositions containing alkylmethylsiloxane waxes, methods of using the compositions and devices made using the compositions are disclosed. The hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive compositions include a mixture of (i) a silicate resin, (ii) a silicone fluid, and (iii) an alkylmethylsiloxane wax having a melting point of between 30.degree. C. and 70.degree. C. The alkylmethylsiloxane wax decreases dynamic viscosity of the adhesive at temperatures ranging from about 50.degree. C. to about 200.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5246997
Abstract: A method of making a hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive-coated substrate comprises (a) heating a hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition which includes a mixture of (i) a silicone resin, (ii) a silicone fluid, and (iii) from about 0.5 to about 10 weight percent, based on the total weight of the silicone resin and the silicone fluid, of a non-flammable hydrocarbon having a weight-average molecular weight of from about 300 to about 1500 as measured by gel permeation chromatography calibrated with narrow distribution polydimethylsiloxane standards (b) coating the heated adhesive composition onto a substrate, and (c) cooling the coated adhesive composition until it is in a generally non-flowing state.
