  • Patent number: 6710269
Abstract: The present invention discloses a foil keyboard with a security system for detecting and preventing unauthorized mechanical access to the key contacts. The foil keyboard comprising a foil having for each key an elastic key spring area in which an electrical contact is arranged, a printed circuit board (PCB) having electrical contacts that are contacted by the electrical contacts of the keys during the key travel, and a security system which is fully integrated into the foil and the PCB. A closed circuit between keyboard foil and PCB forms a security grid that secures that unauthorized mechanical accesses against key contacts are recognized.

  • Patent number: 6678834
Abstract: To change the frequency of a video clock without adversely affecting a display quality. To lower the frequency of a video clock, following steps are executed, detecting an opportunity which causes the reduction of the frequency of the video clock; lowering the frequency of the video clock in a frequency range within which a circuit employing the video clock (for example, a PLL (Phase Lock Loop) circuit) can follow a change in the frequency; and iterating the step of lowering the frequency of the video clock until a predetermined frequency is attained. In addition, the following steps are also performed, detecting an opportunity which causes the reduction of the frequency of the video clock; lowering the frequency of the video clock to a predetermined frequency during a vertical blanking interval of a display device that employs the video clock; and maintaining the predetermined frequency of the video clock until change of the frequency is required.

  • Patent number: 6661786
Abstract: A service message system for a switching architecture including at least one Switch Fabric (10, 20) comprising a switch core (15, 25) located in a centralized building and a set of Switch Core Access Layer (SCAL) elements distributed in different physical areas for the attachment to the different Port adapters (30, 31). Each SCAL elements particularly includes a SCAL receive element (11-i) and a SCAL Xmit element (12-i) for the respective access to one input port and one output port via serial links. The service message is based on the use of a Cell qualifier field at the beginning of each cell, which comprises a first and a second field. The first field is the Filtering Control field which permits an easy decoding of a service message cell, when applicable. The second field is used for determining which particular type of service message is conveyed via the cell.
