  • Patent number: 7966838
Abstract: A pulse width modulation control is provided for a suction modulation valve in a refrigerant system. An intentional small “leakage” path is maintained through the suction modulation valve to ensure that the pressure inside the compressor shell does not decrease below a safe reliability threshold but, at the same time, does not exceed a certain value, which would cause the refrigerant system to operate inefficiently, when the pulse width modulation control has moved the suction modulation valve to a closed position. The size of this minimum “leakage” path is continuously adjusted to ensure that the optimum pressure inside the compressor shell is maintained regardless of the evaporator pressure and other operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 7931129
Abstract: A slack adjustment system for a disk brake includes a biasing member to adjust slack in a brake system. The biasing member operates independently of pressure applied to a brake actuator. A locking member prevents adjustment when adjustment is not necessary. Release of the locking member allows the biasing member to adjust a resting position of brake pads independent of driver applied brake pressure.

  • Patent number: 7073839
Abstract: An attachment structure for attaching a seat assembly to a vehicle underbody includes a first cross member that extends between a pair of side rails. The first cross member includes first and second transversely extending portions that each support a striker. A second cross member also extends between the pair of side rails. First and second longitudinal members extend between the first and second cross members. The first longitudinal member is attached to the first cross member at the first transversely extending portion and the second longitudinal member is attached to the second cross member at the second transversely extending portion. Straps are mounted to each of the first and second transversely extending portions, with one strap extending underneath each of the first or second longitudinal members. The first and second transversely extending portions each include a horseshoe shaped opening over which the respective striker extends.
