Patent number: 7342521Abstract: Systems and methods regarding the restoration of serialized data to parallel data with a low speed reference signal are provided. In exemplary embodiments, a phased lock loop receives a reference clock signal from a data source and generates a reference high speed clock signal based on the reference clock signal. A dynamic link library clock and data recovery module reads and writes data flows contained within serialized data onto parallel data paths at a modified high speed clock signal based on the reference high speed clock signal.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2006Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Assignee: Chrontel, Inc.Inventor: Yin Liu

Patent number: 6866631Abstract: A system and method for ultrasonic imaging utilizing multiple sets of transmit pulses differing in amplitude, frequency, phase, and/or pulse width. One embodiment has phase differences between the k transmit signal as 360 k degrees providing for constructive interference of the kth order harmonic pulse, while an amplitude modulation of each transmit profile is constant between sets. These sets of pulses are transmitted into media of interest and received echoes from these pulses are combined to form an averaged signal. The averaged pulses represent the net common mode signal received from each of the transmit sets. This combined signal set is used to reconstruct an ultrasound image based on broad beam reconstruction methodology.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2001Date of Patent: March 15, 2005Assignee: Zonare Medical Systems, Inc.Inventors: Glen McLaughlin, Ting-Lan Ji

Patent number: 6304414Abstract: A magnetoresistive write element having a greatly reduced stack height allowing construction of a smaller track width and tighter track width tolerances. The reduced stack height also produces improved magnetic flux flow properties in the write element leading to an improved magnetic fringing field in the write gap region The magnetoresistive write head includes an electrically conductive planar coil having a portion thereof extending between first and second poles. The first and second poles join one another to form a magnetic yoke which is closed at one end and open at the other. An insulation layer separates the coil from the first pole. Another layer of insulating material is formed into the coil, interspersed between the winds and having an upper surface which is flush with the upper surface of the coil. A thin layer of write gap material insulates the coil from the second pole.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 1999Date of Patent: October 16, 2001Assignee: Read-Rite CorporationInventors: Billy W. Patent number: 5975546Abstract: A roller board allowing the rider to slide laterally in a manner similar to a snowboard. The roller board is comprised of a platform having four fixed wheels, and two pivoting rollers positioned along the platform's longitudinal axis. The fixed wheels function similarly to conventional skateboard trucks. The pivoting rollers rotate to align themselves with the direction of force exerted on the platform. The pivoting rollers are spring biased to align themselves with the longitudinal axis of the platform. A height differential between the two types of rollers enables the rider to transfer weight from one type of roller to the other, alternating between the carving and sliding characteristics of a snowboard.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 1998Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Inventor: Steen Strand

Patent number: 5806940Abstract: A multipiece housing is provided having a mid bucket, an aft bucket secured to the mid bucket, and a replaceable lid fastened to the aft bucket having a thermal vent. The replaceable lid includes a plurality of posts. The posts are inserted against an inner wall of the aft bucket to position and fasten the replaceable lid to the top of aft bucket during assembly. The replaceable lid also includes snap features that clip onto an edge of the mid bucket to further secure the replaceable lid to the bucket. If another replaceable lid having a thermal vent with a different ventilation capacity is desired, a different replaceable lid having a different thermal vent is simply fastened to the same monitor housing.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 1996Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Assignee: Apple Computer, Inc.Inventor: Douglas L. Patent number: 5748280Abstract: Rimless eyeglasses having removable lenses. Each lens has a pair of bridge securing openings. The bridge is formed from a single wire. The single wire bridge is bent to form two c-shaped sections. Each c-shaped section is threaded through a respective lens, and ends of the bridge are inserted into one opening of the pairs of openings. A friction fitting secures an end of the bridge to a lens. Temples and nose pads are similarly secured to the eyeglasses. Each lens has a pair of openings for securing a temple and a pair of openings for securing a nose pad support. The temple has a c-shaped lens-securing member for engaging a pair of openings. A nose pad is mounted on the c-shaped nose pad support. The c-shaped nose pad support engages a pair of holes in the lens.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1996Date of Patent: May 5, 1998Assignee: Eyes For You Inc.Inventor: Pat Herman

Patent number: 5730512Abstract: A multipiece housing for a monitor having a first section with a plurality of projections, and a second section having a plurality of receptacles for receiving the plurality of projections during the assembly of the housing. Each receptacle includes an air duct enabling air to flow bidirectionally between outside the housing and inside the housing after being assembled. Separate sections of the multipiece housing are completely assembled by hand and without using any special tools. Each receptacle includes a pair of parallel guide rails and a slanted surface which guide each receptacle into a slot in the corresponding projection. Joints formed between the separate sections, while enabling air to pass, prohibit accidental access to the internal components of the monitor. Snap features are included on one of the sections to assist in securing together the first and second sections during assembly.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1995Date of Patent: March 24, 1998Assignee: Apple Computer, Inc.Inventor: Douglas L.
