The cartridge according to the invention comprises a container including a lateral wall, a bottom wall unitary with the lateral wall, the lateral and bottom walls delimiting a main volume, a central nucleus unitary with the bottom wall, the height of the central nucleus being substantially equal to that of the lateral wall to define an annular volume in the main volume, at least two separation walls imperviously unitary with the bottom wall, with the interior surface of the lateral wall and with the exterior surface of the central nucleus to delimit two secondary volumes in the annular volume, and at least two fluid connections adapted to connect the exterior of the container with the two secondary volumes.
Abstract: An all-terrain bicycle is comprised of a bicycle frame having a front and a rear fork to which is removably secured a front and a rear wheel. Each wheel has a circular rim which is interconnected to the hub by spokes. The rear wheel has sprockets secured to the central hub and which is interconnected to a driving sprocket by a chain or other such belt-like drive connector. Each of the rims is provided with a surface engaging support shoes assembly to provide support of the bicycle on a surface. Such bicycles are particularly useful for riding on soft and also irregular surfaces which are deformable such as sand, snow or the like.
Abstract: A method and a machine for making a plastic film bag with opposed closable end openings as well as a double compartment bag is described. The bags may be formed from J-folded, U-folded or tubular film sheets. In one embodiment, a bag is formed with a gusseted end adjacent which a zipper closure and a detachable end is provided and at the other end of the bag there is provided an opening which is closable by a closure tag. The method and machine are also adaptable to form double-ended closure bags having two distinct compartments, each accessible by a respective one of the end closure. The bags formed by the method and machine have various uses such as carrying two separate articles, each article being accessible from one of the opposed ends of the bags. The double compartment bags may also contain two different products, each accessible separately through a zipper closure. The bags may also be formed with a flap provided with wicket holes to support the bag in an automatic bag filling machine.

Abstract: An electrical safety outlet is provided and consists of a plug receptacle having typically at least a large neutral blade-slot and a small voltage blade-slot for receiving a large neutral blade and a small voltage blade of a corresponding and mating multi-prong polarized plug. The invention also applies to older plugs and three-blade plugs where both the neutral and voltage blades are the same width. In one embodiment, insertion of the multi-prong polarized plug depresses the exterior lobes of two separate cams which work together to change the normally open circuit receptacle of the present invention to a closed circuit receptacle. In order for both cams to be activated, the mating multi-prong polarized plug must be inserted almost completely into the plug receptacle before the electrical circuit is closed, thereby supplying current to the plug. The neutral prong must be at least the width of the voltage prong to close the circuit.
Abstract: According to a first embodiment, an apparatus for shielding a movable articulated structure such as robot arm to be protected from a hard working environment comprises one or more shielding sections forming with the outer surface of the robot arm a cavity which is filled with pressurized air. Adjacent portions of the shielding sections are coupled through a rotary joint allowing escape of the pressurized air out of the cavity while maintaining within the cavity a positive pressure relative to the ambient environment pressure which is sufficient to substantially prevent contamination of the robot arm from the working environment. According to a second embodiment, the apparatus comprises a shielding cover comprised of one or more cover sections forming with the outer surface of the robot arm a cavity which is filled with pressurized air.

Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus for removing liquid salts from liquid metal utilizing at least one porous substrate which is wettable by liquid salts and is not wettable by liquid metal. The porous substrate is inserted into a container having a quantity of liquid metal which is contaminated with an amount of liquid salt. The salt contaminated liquid metal contacts the substrate so that the liquid salt is absorbed into the porous substrate. The salt wetted porous substrate is then removed from the container.
Abstract: A golf course and a method of construction is described whereby to permit a plurality of sequential arrangements of golf links within the golf course so that golf players can play the same nine or eighteen golf links of the course but in a plurality of different golf link sequential arrangements. The golf course has a plurality of putting green areas which are spaced apart from one another with each being associated with one or more fairway areas to constitute a plurality of golf links. A tee area is associated with the fairway area of each of the golf links. A designation identifies individual ones of the golf links. The green areas and fairway areas are disposed in a predetermined web pattern to permit a plurality of these sequential arrangements of the links with the putting green areas having a single associated one of the fairway areas in each of the sequential arrangements.
Abstract: There is provided a humidifier control system including a water reservoir having a top opening. A pair of wicking pads extend into the reservoir and around a tube which extends over the top opening. An electrical heating element is received inside the tube. First and second spaced apart moisture sensor elements are attached to the tube and are in contact with the wicking pads. The sensor elements conduct electricity in the presence of moisture on the wicking pads and do not conduct electricity in the absence of moisture on the wicking pads. The sensor elements are attached to an electrical circuit which includes a switch and an alarm. When there is moisture on the wicking pads, the switch is on and normal current flows through the heating element and the switch. When there is not moisture on the wicking pads, the switch is turned off and the current through the heating element is reduced to a minimal level, and the alarm is turned on.
Abstract: A method of treating the skin by specific massage procedure, using one or more brushes. The method comprises the steps of providing a facial and a body massaging brush. A clockwise brush massage is applied to stimulate specific designated areas of the body for a predetermined period of time. The brush massage is performed in a specific sequence of the designated areas in compliance with a network of acupuncture points. The method of this invention improves blood circulation and simultaneously provides an exfoliation of skin tissue.

Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus for collecting vaginal fluid and exfoliated vaginal cells for medical diagnostic purposes. An absorbent media is placed interlabially or intravaginally. Fluid is collected within the absorbent media. The absorbent media is removed, and the fluid is extracted therefrom. For intravaginal collection, the absorbent media may be placed in a housing having fluid receiving apertures therein. Medical diagnostic testing is performed on the extracted fluid.
Abstract: An adjustable hanging support mechanism for a folding panel assembly enclosure which comprises a plurality of folding panels and end posts secured thereto and which fold in an accordion fashion while being suspended by the support mechanism along a top end thereof. The hanging support mechanism has a support rod which is connected at a top end to a displaceable carriage which is engaged in a support rail. The support rod has a plurality of spaced fastener engaging apertures extending along a connecting section thereof. The apertures are configured to receive a fastener element in engagement therewith. At least some of the panels are provided with connecting cylinders to receive at least a connecting section of an associated one of the support rods in axial rotation therein. Fastener elements are associated with the connecting cylinders to permit interconnection with a selected one of the fastener engaging apertures of an associated support post to provide vertical height adjustment of the enclosure.
Abstract: There is provided an exercise/therapy apparatus for human limbs, in particularly, hands. A sealed container forming an interior space is provided having an opening therein. A glove for receiving the hand is attached to the container near the opening and extends from the opening into the interior space. A viscous material which resists the movement of the hand is received in the interior space.
Abstract: There is provided a dual stage ceramic foam molten metal filtration system and method. Coarse and fine filters are mounted adjacent to one another in a molten metal flow path.
