  • Patent number: 7944811
Abstract: In one embodiment, a multicast router initiates non-stop forwarding (NSF) recovery. In the NDF recovery, data traffic forwarding operations continue throughout a data plane of the multicast router in the presence of a failure in a control plane of the multicast router. When the multicast router receives incoming multicast packets on an interface during the NSF recovery, it compares the incoming multicast packets with entries of a multicast forwarding table of the data plane of the multicast router. In response to the comparison, the multicast router prevents multiple multicast forwarders from forwarding multicast packets for a route over a link coupled to the interface during the NSF recovery.

  • Patent number: 6365839
Abstract: A multi-layer printed circuit board provides at least two sections thereon. One section has a grouping of high-impedance traces and another adjacent section, separated by a dividing line, has a mainly low-impedance signal traces. The high-impedance section has at least one of a ground and power plane separated from a grouping of central layers, containing the high-impedance traces, by at least one empty or “void” layer. The void layer is likewise filled by the ground and power planes in the within low-impedance section by stepping the ground/power plane inwardly toward the central layers while providing another low-impedance signal trace in the layer above and below the respective ground and power planes. In a preferred embodiment there are at least nine layers of circuit board material with high-impedance traces on a central grouping of at least three central board layers with three layers disposed respectively above and below the central board layers.

  • Patent number: 4447093
Abstract: A wheel is composed of a rigid plastic inner section forming the wheel hub and rim and a resilient plastic tire section encircling the rim. A key formed integrally with the rim extends radially outward therefrom and interlockingly projects into the tire so as to mechanically connect the tire to the rim all around the wheel. The key can be formed with axially extending portions spaced radially outboard of the rim and terminating flush with the outer surface of the tire section so as to provide colored side wall decorations at one or both sides of the wheel.
