Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for legally sharing files in a peer-to-peer network on the internet in a manner that compensates the content owners, artists, authors and/or programmers, and the like. Methods of the present invention may include incentive programs, which allow users to earn credits that may be redeemable for later file downloads and/or for merchandise at an online store or other compensation.
Abstract: A quick-fit device for video and photographic equipment comprises a first attachment member in the form of a plate which can be fixed to the equipment and a second attachment member including a seat for the plate which can be fixed to a supporting head; a safety device comprising a spring-loaded arm bearing a stop tooth acting on a presser designed to removably lock the plate in the seat is provided in the seat. The tooth has a ramp with an inclined plane from the part facing the seat and a stop shoulder on the opposite part; the presser has an appendage which is capable of riding over the tooth passing from a position against the ramp to a position against the shoulder in passing from a position in which the plate is released to a position in which the same is locked in the seat.
Abstract: A step-counting ambulatory aid having a ground-contacting surface, which aid comprises a pressure-sensitive switch on the ground-contacting surface and a data recorder located elsewhere on the aid, wherein the pressure-sensitive switch is activated upon contact of the ground-contacting surface of the aid with ground, whereupon the pressure-sensitive switch sends a signal to the data recorder, which records the signal as a step; a method of counting the number of steps taken by a user of an ambulatory aid comprising having the user use an ambulatory aid equipped with a step counter; and a method of establishing a therapeutic regimen for a patient in need of an ambulatory aid comprising determining the number of steps that the patient should take during a set period of time, providing the patient with an ambulatory aid equipped with a step counter, and instructing the patient to take the determined number of steps with the ambulatory aid during the set period of time.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a novel method for creating a display for a valuable item. On one example, the method includes the steps of selecting an item to be display, selecting a base material to create a display, creating a three dimensional map of the item to be displayed, and milling the base using an instruction program to create a cavity within the base that is configured and adapted to receive the valuable item. The present invention is also directed to a novel base display for displaying an item of value.

Abstract: A method of determination of the conditions of exhaustion of a filtering cartridge for filtering carafes with replaceable cartridges is described, in which an initial identification of impedance of the water to be filtered is provided for in order to consequently calculate an important parameter for definition of the efficient lifespan on the filtering cartridge. Furthermore a carafe operating in compliance with such method is also described.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods of administering a material to a patient for dermal enhancement and/or as soft tissue fillers. The invention also relates to double-gloved methods of molding such a material after administration to a patient to achieve a desired orientation of the material in the patient. The invention also relates to the use of certain materials, including polylactic acid, hyaluronic acid, hydrogel, and/or collagen or other suitable materials for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for dermal enhancement and/or as soft tissue filler. The invention further relates to kits or packages that include a material for dermal enhancement and/or soft tissue filler and instructions as to how dermal enhancement or the filling of soft tissue is achieved.
Abstract: A composition that effectively prevents the manifestation of osteoporosis, the formation of osteoclasts and suppresses a decrease of spongy bone density. The composition primarily contains Cordyceps sinensis or its processed product.
Abstract: Compositions and methods for treating osteoporosis, the formation of osteoeclasts, and/or for the suppression of decreasing spongy bone density. Example methods include administering Cordyceps sinensis or its processed product.
