  • Patent number: 5669532
Abstract: A non-round pressure sprayer unit for dispensing liquids from a closed container including a pressure pump, tube/hose connection, and applicator wand. The pressure pump mechanism further includes a pump housing sealingly insertable in the pressure sprayer bottle, a plunger for reciprocating within the housing with an upstroke and a downstroke, and a pump piston at the lower end of the plunger. The pump piston includes a bottom closure for closing the lower end of the pump housing when the piston is lowered on the downstroke and capable of opening the lower end of the pump housing when the piston is raised in the upstroke. A pump seal seals the piston and the inner wall of the pump housing when the piston is on its downstroke but becomes unsealed on the upstroke of the piston.

  • Patent number: 5634904
Abstract: The template of this invention includes a flexible sheet with indicia thereon to identify the proper sites and instruction of the proper technique of insertion of an injection device, such as a needle, for medical injection into the human knee. The sheet is flexible so that it may be folded for storage and shipment and then unfolded for placement over the human leg. The template is universal in that it may be used on either the left or right leg on either a male or female patient and may be used on human legs of many different sizes.

  • Patent number: 5597093
Abstract: This is a dispensing unit for condiments such as mustard, catsup, etc. or industrial liquids such as soap, chemicals. The condiment is contained in a container such as a bottle with a neck portion which is attached to a dispensing nipple. When the device is hanging upside down, the condiment in the container flows into the dispensing tip, which has a valve such that no fluid flows out the end of the tip until pressure is applied by squeezing the plastic bottle. A dispenser nipple passes through a hole in a plate or tray in a housing. A back resilient pad is on one side of the hole, and on the front side of the hole is a front pad. The dispensing nipple extends through this hole between the two pads. A push rod connects to a push plate on the front side of the front pad, and the application of force on the push rod forces the two pads towards each other. When the nipple is between them, it causes the nipple to be squeezed, thus dispensing condiment out the tip.

  • Patent number: 5595067
Abstract: A rotary vane/expansion device having a housing, a rotor with a shaft having an axis, a plurality of telescoping vanes extending radially outwardly from the axis to rotationally contact the inner wall of the housing. There is a movable housing which rests on a track. There are two sets of drive pistons. One drives the piston (and housing) in one direction which is in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the shaft. The second drive piston drives the housing along the track in the opposite direction so that the amount of compression can be controlled. The outer edges of the vanes are provided with pin rollers to reduce wear. Telescoping vanes are also disclosed. The cross-section of the housing in a plane perpendicular to the axis has an ovoidal shape. This can also be used to obtain fresh water from salt water. Salt water is placed in a tank with heating coils in it. The tank has an overhead dome with a trough to catch condensed water.

  • Patent number: 5585122
Abstract: A recycling apparatus in which high density polyethylene, thermal polyolfin, or coated or non-coated oriented polypropylene and rubber are mixed into a batch and converted to useful molded products. The apparatus includes a first mixer, a second mixer, a conveyor belt system, a deflector sheet, a first ram, a second ram, a conduit system, and a mold. The first and second mixers alternately provide a batch to the conveyor belt system. The conveyor belt system alternately transports the batches to a first and second ram. Each ram having an opening, an outlet, and a ram piston. A deflector sheet or flip plate permits a first batch on the conveyor belt to be deposited into the opening of the first ram in a first position and alternately permits a second batch on the conveyor belt to be deposited into the opening of the second ram in a second position.

  • Patent number: 5579239
Abstract: A remote video transmission system for digitizing and compressing an audio/visual signal, transmitting that signal over low band width lines, such as land telephone lines, cellular telephone lines, or radio frequencies, decompressing the digitized data and converting it to an audio/visual signal for broadcast. Components of this system include: A remote unit, a host unit, and a playback unit. The remote unit is capable of digitizing and compressing the audio/visual signal as well as transmitting the compressed, digitized data. Data may be divided and sent to multiple ports for output. Data may also be edited prior to transmission. The host unit is automated to receive data transmitted from the remote unit and reassemble the data if it has been divided. The playback unit stores and automatically catalogs transmitted data files. The player unit also decompresses the digitized data files and converts them to an audio/visual signal which may then be broadcast.

  • Patent number: 5564303
Abstract: An internal mandrel is disclosed which is used for supporting the inner wall of a pipe during bending. A plurality of unique resilient discs is provided. The discs are dome shaped with a rim at the bottom of the dome. The dome has a concave side and a convex side. The discs nest together, i.e. convex side of one into the concave side of the adjacent disc to form a resilient plug. A hydraulic cylinder applies force on the convex side of the outermost disc and the concave side of the innermost disc to deflect the rims of the disc outwardly to contact the inner wall of the pipe being bent.
