  • Patent number: 8149928
Abstract: Some embodiments include a transmitter having a cycle encoding circuit to receive a data input signal and to provide a full cycle encoded signal in response thereto by continuously joining portions of different encoding signals. Some of the encoding signals have a different frequency than others of the encoding signals and some of the encoding signals have a different phase than others of the encoding signals. Data is represented in data time segments of the full cycle encoded signal and no data time segment has more than one cycle of an encoding signal. In some embodiments, a receiver receives the cycle encoded signal and recovers data of the data input signal.

  • Patent number: 8141511
Abstract: Systems and methods for a stable maritime platform are disclosed. The platform is pivotally supported by a superstructure of a floating vessel, the platform to receive a downward force from an object. A platform trunnion is connected to the platform to convert the downward force on the platform into rotational movement. A counterweight axle is connected to the platform trunnion to transform the rotational movement into angular displacement that moves a counterweight away from the superstructure of the floating vessel. Thus, the downward force of the object may be counteracted to balance the floating vessel.

  • Patent number: 8141814
Abstract: An aerial load lifting system features a non-rigid or blimp-type dirigible providing a lighter-than-air envelope that is placed within a structural shell. The system is designed so that the envelope provides essentially neutral buoyancy for the structure, leaving only the cargo weight to be lifted by the rotors. The structural shell supports the engine, fuel tank, rotors, and transmission system that power the lift and vectoring of the aircraft, in addition to supporting the cargo load. The structural shell transfers the weight of the load directly to the location of the rotors, thus avoiding stress on the envelope.

  • Patent number: 8111615
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamically modifying routing information in an interconnect architecture without quiescence is herein described. Each agent/node holds routing information regarding target agents/nodes in an interconnect architecture, which may include routing preferences. When a node is to be hot removed, it generates port disable messages to neighbors. The neighbors disable a port the disable message is received on and generates a completion message back to the not to be removed. The node to be removed continues to route messages until it receives a completion; at which time it disables a corresponding node. When all nodes are disabled the device may be removed. Other nodes in the interconnect architecture learn of an agent removal through use of return cycles when messages reach dead ends during attempted routing of cycles. Furthermore, hot addition of a node includes broadcasting of an enable message to enable nodes for routing to the added node.
