  • Patent number: 7655878
Abstract: Disclosed is a key sheet having a base sheet equipped with a hard resin plate and a key sheet manufacturing method, wherein a reduction is achieved in the thickness of the base sheet and in the effort and cost for the molding. Further, accurate depressing operation is realized without impairing the outward appearance of the key sheet. The key sheet has a hard base plate having a communicating groove connecting through-holes with each other. The communicating groove has a connecting portion formed so as to be continuous and integral with operating portions formed respectively at the through-holes. Thus, there is no need to form inlets for a rubber-like elastic material respectively corresponding to the through-holes in the mold. As a result, the mold structure can be simplified to thereby achieve a reduction in cost.

  • Patent number: 7645643
Abstract: A reliable optical semiconductor device can include an optical semiconductor chip sealed in a surrounding soft resin and in a hard resin that is harder than the soft resin. The hard resin can include an aperture that is configured to relieve a state of hermetic sealing for the soft resin (allows the soft resin to expand during volume change due to temperature fluctuations, etc.) and can be formed in a direction that imposes substantially no optical influence on a function of the optical semiconductor chip. The soft resin and the hard resin can be employed for double sealing to form the highly reliable optical semiconductor device without requiring additional space. This is effective to solve a problem caused in a conventional optical semiconductor device associated with double sealing by soft and hard resins, which requires a space between both resins and results in deteriorated performance, for example, a reduced amount of light.

  • Patent number: 7642721
Abstract: A high pressure discharge lamp can be used in a vehicle lighting device as a light source in place of a halogen lamp, and can be driven with a reduced starting voltage while being miniaturized. A gas is filled in a space between an arc tube and an outer tube of the high pressure discharge lamp, the gas being capable of dielectric barrier discharge, to reduce the starting voltage. A metal conductor is arranged in the space between the arc tube and the outer tube to stabilize the starting voltage and perform other functions. The metal conductor can also serve as a lead line. Accordingly, high voltage portions of the lamp are not exposed outside of the outer tube. This can reduce the entire size of the high pressure discharge lamp such that a housing for a headlight using a halogen lamp can be used for this type of high pressure discharge lamp.
