Abstract: A computer-based method and device for conveying interrelated image and narrative information is disclosed, suitable for use with a variety of types of information ranging from product information and maintenance procedures to cooking recipes, game commentaries, and travel guides. The first component of the device is an authoring environment used to specify images, narrative text, and interrelationships between elements of each. A second component is a conversion device that prepares the authored materials for viewing. The third component of the device is a delivery or run-time system, capable of being implemented in a standard World-Wide Web browser, which interacts with an end-user to present the information in an integrated fashion, such as by displaying or highlighting relevant portions of the image when the related portion of the narrative text is accessed and vice versa. The abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a combined structure for a cross-flow fan comprising a rotor mounting having a magnet ring and a coil enclosed therein, a fan mounted under the rotor mounting, protrusions for attaching the fan to the rotor mounting so as to easily assemble the rotor mounting and the fan together, a stator mounting mounted above the rotor mounting, a housing, and a hook for attaching the stator mounting to the housing. The housing comprises an entry and an exit and contains the rotor mounting, the fan and the stator mounting.

Abstract: An apparatus that provides for the quick and easy installation and removal of Roman Tub Spouts onto a water fitting comprising a water spout, a quick connect member, a trim escutcheon, a hub, a pair of deck nuts and a lock washer. The quick connect member screws into a Tee fitting, or the like, in the plumbing system. The hub screws into the base of the spout and slidably engages the smooth end of the quick connect member. The trim escutcheon is disposed between the spout and hub to provide support to the hub and to conceal the hub while providing decorative ornamentation to the apparatus. Once the spout and trim escutcheon are properly positioned on the quick connect member, a set screw fastens the assembly in place. The deck nuts are positioned above and below the tub surface to hold the apparatus in place on the tub surface.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring noise comprising a sensor circuit having at least two sensors, an ambient noise eliminating circuit and a signal processing circuit. All the sensors are set to detect the ambient or background noise, however the source noise is positioned for detection by one of the sensors. The output of the sensor circuit is connected to the input of the ambient noise eliminating circuit where the ambient noise is eliminated from the noise signal leaving only a signal of the noise source. The signal processing circuit receives the signal of the measured noise, which is rectified and amplified, and then processed in the comparator circuit to determine whether the noise level is acceptable or not. The result is displayed through the display circuit comprising a plurality of LEDs.
