    Abstract: A wall mount is provided which supports an automotive bicycle rack of the type having a plurality of feet which engage the rear portion of an automobile and straps with hooks for releasably securing the rack to the automobile. The wall mount is a ladder-like device which comprises a pair of vertically disposed rails for fastening to a wall and a plurality of horizontal cross-beam members disposed in vertically spaced orientation on the rails. An uppermost cross-beam member has an upwardly opening "J" cross section and the lowermost cross-beam member having a downwardly opening "J" cross-section, for receiving the hooks of the rack. A pair of intermediate cross-beam members are spaced between the uppermost and lowermost cross-beam members and have vertical surfaces for receiving the feet of the rack. The vertical surface of the lower of said intermediate cross-beam members is disposed approximately 3 to 4 inches further from the wall than said other vertical surface to mimic the bumper of an automobile.

    Abstract: An applicator brush for fluid-type cosmetics, such as may be used in applying mascara to eyelashes which includes a bristle portion disposed at one end of a helical twisted wire core with a handle disposed at the outer end. The configuration of the bristle portion is such that the bristle tips define a generally cylindrical outer surface having two (2) diametrically opposed channels and application surfaces helically disposed along the length of the brush portion which are spiraled about the core to form a helix thereof. The brush portion is formed by disposing the bristles between the lengths of the wire and helically twisting the wire to form the core that retains the bristles therebetween. The bristle portion is then trimmed to a shape of generally rectangular cross-section. To form the helical application surface, the wire core is further twisted in the same direction a predetermined number of turns.

    Abstract: A physical therapy apparatus capable of being used with any suitable seating surface includes a tubular frame, a seat coupling device and a means for simultaneously workout the upper and lower body. The seat interfits with the frame and has a flange portion for frictionally engaging the seating surface. The means to workout the upper and lower body is mounted on the frame and includes foot pedals and hand grips interconnected by flexible elongated members for transmitting to the hand grips the dynamic forces applied to the foot pedals and visa versa. In an alternate embodiment, the physical therapy apparatus additionally includes a flywheel rotatable by a crank mechanism driven by the foot pedals disposed thereon.

    Abstract: A cutting guide is provided to assist in the removal of a handgrip from the shaft of a golf club. The guide includes a conical, tubular member adapted to receive the handgrip therein. The guide has a lateral opening that extends over the length thereof and its lateral dimension is of sufficient width to enable the handgrip to fit therein but such as to ensure a snug fit between the guide and the handgrip when disposed in coextensive relation therewith. The opening, including at least one edge thereof, comprising a radially extending portion to provide a guide for movement of the blade of a cutting tool when disposed thereagainst.

    Abstract: A magazine safety for a semi-automatic pistol with a double-action firing pin striker mechanism having a lever pivotable to the frame of said pistol so that the forward end thereof will sense the presence of the magazine in the pistol. The lever is provided with a downwardly opening recess on its underside and a spring disposed to urge the lever to engage a pin extending laterally from the sear of the firing mechanism of said pistol. The pistol further includes a trigger bar movable in response to the trigger and is engageable with the sear for cocking and releasing the firing pin to fire the pistol. When engaged with a sear pin, the recess in the lever serves to prevent movement of the sear for firing the pistol whenever the magazine has been removed from the pistol. The lever having its center of gravity disposed to ensure that the lever will engage the sear to prevent firing of the pistol even in the event the safety spring is rendered inoperable.

    Abstract: A magazine for a semiautomatic handgun is provided which includes a butt plate being slidably secured to the bottom thereof by side walls having slots which engage flanges on the lower edge of the magazine tube. A floor plate which serves as a seat for the magazine spring has a tang disposed on its leading edge which interfits with a slot disposed on the forward edge of the magazine tube and which serves to secure the leading edge therein. The floor plate also includes a lug which is biased by the magazine spring to interfit with a hole in the butt plate to prevent the butt plate from being slidably removed from the magazine tube.

    Abstract: A frame plug or closure member which is fitted into a cavity of a handgrip of a handgun is used to provide added reenforcement and to extend the handgrip. The plug has a tapered, semi-circular shaped base which is integrally connected to one end of a flexible flat, elongated member which has a foot at the other end thereof. The curvature of the base matches the curvature of the lower edge of the handgrip to provide a natural extension to the handgrip. The plug has a spine integrally connected to both the base and flexible elongated member so as to provide stiffness thereto. The handgrip has a plug cavity and an adjacent gun magazine cavity which open to the lower edge or butt thereof. The two cavities are separated by an internal wall having a through opening. The frame plug is fitted into the plug cavity until the foot reaches the opening at which time the foot snap fits into the opening thus securing the frame plug to the handgrip.

    Abstract: A dual purpose roll work stand, adapted to support elongated material and permit the user to easily move the material across the stand surface, includes a base member mounted to a vertical support which can be adjusted to raise or lower the height thereof, a row of discrete ball bearing units mounted to the upper surface of the base member to permit the material rested thereon to be move in any direction and a roller disposed between two brackets that are rotatably secured to the ends of the base by two knurled knobs. The roller may be positioned directly above the upper surface of the base to support the material thereon and moved unidirectionally perpendicular to the axis of the roller. The brackets may be rotated from the upright position along side the base to allow the material to be supported on the ball bearing units and moved omnidirectionally.

    Abstract: An improved saw blade includes groups of saw teeth disposed along the cutting edge of the blade. Each group of teeth includes, in relation to the cutting direction of the blade, an unset leading tooth followed by two pairs of trailing teeth alternately set in opposite lateral directions outwardly of the centerline of the blade. The first pair of trailing teeth are generally of the same height as the leading tooth and the second pair of trailing teeth are shorter and have a substantially wider set than the first pair. The pair of trailing teeth that are shorter and wider set are disposed in consecutively and interposed relation between the first pair of trailing teeth. The set distance of the first pair of trailing teeth is approximately 50% of the set distance of the second pair of trailing teeth.

A unitary polymeric frame including a semi-cylindrical front strap is disposed at predetermined angle relative to the barrel. A ridge and channel are formed on each side of the frame and are adapted to guide and retain the thumb and forefinger of a shooter in the appropriate position to hold, aim and fire the gun.

    Abstract: An improved means is provided for mounting a front sight onto the slide of a semi-automatic pistol. The sight includes an upper portion and an integral anchor portion of a resilient polymeric material in which the upper portion is adapted to disposed on the upper surface of the slide. An elongated opening is formed in the slide, is dimensioned to receive therein the anchor portion of the sight and has a predetermined depth terminating at an inner surface portion of the slide adjacent the lower edge of the opening. The anchor portion has a plurality of legs spaced apart in a peripheral array and which extend downward from the upper portion. Each lo leg has at its lower end a radially extending foot having a beveled lower surface adapted to engage the outer edge of the opening and to flex the legs inwardly for fitting into and through the opening.

    Abstract: A two-piece safety trigger for a handgun or pistol fabricated from high impact polymer is provided in which a lower portion comprising approximately the entire lower half of the trigger face is pivotable relative to the upper portion. The lower trigger portion includes a rearwardly extending latch portion which, when the lower trigger portion is in its forward position, serves to engage the frame of the gun to prevent firing movement of the trigger in the event the gun is dropped or otherwise impacted. The lower trigger portion is biased to its forward position by a flexible spring finger disposed within the upper portion and is adapted to be overcome when the user squeezes the trigger in a conventional manner.

    Abstract: Capacitor discharge ignition system having a microprocessor disposed thereon to control the ignition timing of the system. The system has a generator coil, a primary coil and a secondary coil on the same leg portion of a ferromagnetic core. An electronic circuit associated with the microprocessor includes a capacitor adapted to be charged by an intermediate pulse generated by the charge coil with the leading and trailing pulses thereof being input to control the operation of the microprocessor. The circuit also includes an SCR having its anode-cathode path connected in circuit with the capacitor and primary coil and its gate connected to an output port of the microprocessor which also includes an input port to power the microprocessor from the charge coil. Another port of the microprocessor is adapted to receive timing reference inputs from the charge coil.
