Abstract: A portable water disinfecting and purification apparatus comprising a first chamber into which water to be purified may be drawn by suction or negative pressure, a second chamber into which the water from the first chamber can be forced by a pumping action or positive pressure, whereby the water is initially passed across a pre-filter secured over the inlet to the first chamber and having a very small pore size and an inner cavity in which a disinfecting agent is place to filters most contaminants before the water is drawn into said filtering device, and once in the first holding chamber the water is isolated and may be further treated with a disinfectant agent, and then is passed though at least additional filtering substance including an activated carbon or nano-filter.

Abstract: A dice game and method of playing a dice game is disclosed wherein provided are ten dice, a dice box having a score pad and bonus card holding area, playing chips and chip holders, a score payout card, and instructions for playing the game. Players take turns rolling the ten dice in the dice box, and if three like kind or more dice of the same suit are rolled, such dice are placed on the score pad and removed from play, after which the player must decide whether to reroll the remaining dice or bank the point from the initial roll. If on a subsequent roll in a turn a dice of the same suit is not rolled, the players turn is over and all points accumulated in such turn are lost. If three like kind or more dice are not rolled on an initial roll, the player selects a “bonus” card and is awarded the designated number of points on the card, and the dice are rolled again.

Abstract: An automated personal pill dispenser has one or more chambers for holding a supply of pills. A feed mechanism is associated with each chamber and is selectively operable to dispense an incremental number of pills from each respective chamber. A programmable controller is coupled to control and operate the feed mechanism. The controller has a timer, a memory and an input means and is programmably operable by the user and/or by remote input from a smart card, PDA or various networks such as one having access to data from a pharmacy. The programming presets at least one of a time and a number of pills to be dispensed from each chamber. The controller operates an alarm to alert the user and operates the feed mechanism to dispense pills at the preset time and number, also detecting the user's access to obtain the dispensed pills.

Abstract: An exercise data collection system and method of collection of data concerning the performance of weightlifters and the like which can be retrofitted for use with a power rack or half rack used by weightlifters and detached after use or alternatively set up in a freestanding arrangement, such as for use on a platform, in which by emitted electromagnetic radiation coupled detectors the movements of a barbell past such emitters is detected by the reflected emission and the speed of passage calculated by determining the interval between reflection of the detector beams between adjacent detectors, the height of such reflection beam being related to the portion of the musculature of the weightlifter that is undergoing extension or retraction during exercise.

Abstract: A diagnostic system for use in the electronic control circuit for motor actuated lift and/or recline mechanisms for chair wherein a hand controller is used to operate said lift and/or recline mechanisms, and wherein a series of LED indicators are situated at strategic locations in the circuit. The LED indicators can be used to determine whether electricity is flowing to such points in the circuit, which in turn will enable possible problems that might cause the hand control device not to work properly to be quickly more easily pinpointed by immediately narrowing the potential sources or causes of the problem.
