Abstract: A recorded music enhancement system (RMES) utilizing a recording media such as audio tape or compact disc with a separate track for a control waveform or digital code which controls secondary stimuli, such as pulsing lights, so that they pulse in time with the music, or are otherwise coordinated with the music in some artistic arrangement. This system has a triac to switch the power on and off to the lights or other secondary stimuli, and includes a tone or digital code detector which receives the input waveform from the extra track on the recording medium and operates the triac as a function of the input waveform, in essence causing lights or other stimuli to reproduce the rhythm variations of the music as it is played from the tape or other recording medium.
Abstract: An elevated wall reservoir system that has a floating cover assembly that lies directly on the top surface of the body of liquid. The peripheral edges of the cover assembly extend beyond the edge of the liquid and are resiliently secured by tension cables that are attached to tension towers. The tension cables hold the cover assembly in position on the top surface of the liquid and permit the cover assembly to travel upwardly or downwardly in response to the liquid level. Thus the cover assembly is always supported by the liquid and tension in the tension cables. The elevated wall reservoir system allows existing reservoirs to be modified to increase their storage volume by twenty or fourty percent without the need of utilizing additional land area. The elevated wall reservoir system can also be used on new installations.
Abstract: A disposable allergy skin testing kit that is formed from a top layer sheet, a membrane sheet, and a bottom layer sheet. The bottom sheet has a plurality of recesses formed at predetermined locations to form chambers into which a predetermined antigen has been deposited. The membrane sheet covers these chambers and forms a liquid tight seal. The top layer sheet has an aperture formed in it above each of the antigen chambers. A pushbutton needle assembly is mounted in each of these apertures and it has a disk-shaped pushbutton with a needle extending downwardly from its bottom surface. Flexible support arms attached to the edge of the apertures and the disk-shaped pushbutton allow it to be depressed a sufficient distance in order to rupture the antigen chamber and travel downwardly entirely through it so that the needle penetrates into the patient's skin taking antigen with it.
Abstract: A retro-fit gas system for controlling the firing rate of the Colt M16 automatic carbine that involves removing the original short gas tube that has a predermined length and which has a longitudinal axis extending from its front end to its rear end and replacing it with a novel twin gas tube assembly. The gas tube assembly has a first gas tube whose front portion passes through a longitudinally extending lower bore hole in a junction block. A second gas tube has its front end removably inserted in a longitudinally extending upper bore hole in the junction block. A vertically extending cross passage bore hole in the junction block connects with gas ports in the respective first and second gas tubes thereby providing an extended length of gas travel passage distance for reducing the cyclic rate of fire of the Colt M16 carbine.
Abstract: A sofa that is convertible into a platform bed has a transversely extending stationary frame. A left arm assembly, a right arm assembly and a back assembly are attached to the stationary frame. The sofa seat and back cushions are removable from a support surface located above the stationary frame. A plurality of laterally spaced telescoping slide assemblies have their rear ends secured to the stationary frame. The telescoping slide assemblies each have an elongated rear telescoping member, at least one elongated intermediate telescoping member and an elongated front telescoping member and all of the telescoping members have a top wall surface that remains in substantially the same horizontal plane when they are in their retracted position and when they are in their extended position. The cushion support platform assembly may take one of several forms but they all stow in a position above the stationary frame and below the seat cushion.
Abstract: An illuminated underwater writing tablet having an elongated tubular lightsource housing and an elongated tablet sheet of Plexiglass material. The lightsource housing has an elongated slot in its bottom surface that receives the top edge of the tablet sheet. A chemically activated light stick is removably stored in the light source housing and when it is activated it will illuminate the tablet sheet by directing light through its interior. A grease stick is tethered to one end of the lightsource housing. An end cap is tethered to the other end of the lightsource housing.
Abstract: A fish aquarium having structure that produces an improved display for fish and other objects contained therein. The front wall is formed of a transparent material and it has a vertically oriented lower section, a vertically oriented upper section and and angularly oriented central section that connects the upper and lower sections that are laterally offset a predetermined distance from each other. The angularly oriented central section along with the water in the aquarium produces an optical illusion that the material and objects supported in the bottom of the aquarium have a front to rear upwardly oriented appearance. A hermetically sealed elongated light housing is mounted inside the aquarium adjacent the intersection of its top wall and the upper section of its front wall. The florescent lamp in the light housing directs all of its light only in the downward and rearwardly direction which prevents the production of a glare off the water that normally strikes the eyes of a person peering into the aquarium.
Abstract: A door hinge template that is used with a router to form the recess in a door jamb and also a recess in the edge of a door so that a door hinge can be installed. The door hinge template has been designed to be used with 13/8 inch doors and 13/4 inch doors. The template has integrally formed captive nail assemblies for mounting the template to either a door jamb or the edge of a door. Two sets of alignment windows in the bottom wall of the template allow it to be either visually aligned or allow the alignment to be felt by handtouch. Removable spacer members allow the rectangularly shaped aperture in the central portion of the template to be adjusted so that it can be used for routing a recess for either 31/2 inch hinges or 4 inch hinges.
Abstract: A portable swimming pool skimmer that may be dragged around the perimeter of a swimming pool by a person gripping its tether line. The swimming pool skimmer has a pair of laterally spaced end walls that are secured to the respective opposite ends of three tubular connecting members. The first two of these tubular members are air tight so that they have a tendency to float to the top of the water surface. The third tubular member has a plurality of apertures therein that allows it to fill with water and causes it to sink beneath the surface of the water. A net is connected between the two air tight tubular connecting members and it has a sufficient amount of slack so that it forms a concave shape when the skimmer is dragged around the pool for collecting the undesirable objects floating on the water surface.
Abstract: A removable window cover system for recreational vehicles that has unique window cover clamps that are permanently secured to the inside surface of the vehicles window around its periphery. The window clamps have a horizontal base portion that has an inverted U-shaped spring portion extending upwardly from its rear edge and the spring clamp portion forms a cavity having a predetermined width. A sheet of opaque material and a sheet of partial light transmitting screen each have a shape similar to that of the window and they also have their own trim strip extending around their perimeter. These trim strips are detachably secured in the cavity of the window cover clamps. When complete privacy is desired, both sheets of material would be secured in the window cover clamps.
Abstract: A collapsible portable batting cage having an upper frame assembly, a lower frame assembly, and a rear frame assembly. A length of shock cord is threaded through a vertical bore hole. The top end of the shock cord passes through an eye bolt on the front end of the upper frame assembly and its free end is detachably secured to the top edge of the rear assembly. The bottom end of the shock cord is passed through an eye bolt mounted on the front end of the lower frame assembly and it has its free end detachably secured to the bottom edge of the rear assembly. There is structure on the respective top edge and bottom edge of the rear frame assembly for adjusting the height of the static position of the ball prior to a person taking practice batting swings against it. A safety line is passed through the horizontal bore hole of the bail and its respective ends are secured to the left and right upright tubular members of the rear frame assembly.

Abstract: A book restraint assembly for shelving such as used in libraries. The book restraint assembly has a tubular restraint member that extends the length of the shelf assembly. End plates are positioned adjacent the opposite end of the tubular restraint member and each have a rivet that passes through an aperture therein with the shank of the rivet being received into the respective opposite ends of the tubular restraint member and secured therein. The rear ends of the end plates have a tab extending rearwardly and downwardly and these tabs are detachably received in the end tab slots of post members of a range library book shelf so that the end plates may be pivoted upwardly a predetermined height to allow the tubular restraint member to clear the height of any book on the shelf platform thus allowing them to be removed.
Abstract: An improved version of the Float Connection Assemblies as described in U.S. Pat. No. 3,937,166, for the retraction of a trimaran's stabilizing floats to be alongside the trimaran center hull for trailering or Marina docking. The improvement consists of a variable length Upper Pivoting Guide Frame, that when varied in length will allow a trimaran float being retracted by the Float Connection Assemblies to assume a different, higher and more favorable position, to prevent marine growth on the floats' sides, particularly the topsides above the normal waterline when retracted. This allows a trimaran incorporating this improved Float Connection Assembly to be easily converted from a trailerable configuration, to a more suitable Marina docking configuration, without the problem of underwater growth on the retracted float's side.
