  • Patent number: 7830735
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of an asynchronous memory device that use internal delay elements to enable memory access pipelining. In one embodiment, the delay elements are responsive to an input load control signal, and are calibrated with reference to periodically received timing pulses. Different numbers of the delay elements are configured to produce different asynchronous delays and to strobe sequential pipeline elements of the memory device.

  • Patent number: RE37409
Abstract: A memory and method of operation is disclosed. In one embodiment, the memory includes a group of memory cells divided into a plurality of subgroups. Sub word-lines are selectively coupled to main word lines, each sub-word line corresponding to a subgroup and is coupled to the memory cells in the row of the corresponding subgroup. Sense amplifier circuitry is coupled to the group of memory cells. The sense amplifier circuitry is divided into a plurality of sub-sensing circuits, each of the plurality of sub-sensing circuits selectively coupled to a corresponding one of the plurality of sub-groups. The memory includes a control mechanism to control the word lines and sub-sensing circuit (s) that are activated at any one time such that only those sub-word lines and sub-sensing circuits needed to perform memory operations are operated and consume power.

  • Patent number: RE37452
Abstract: A phase shifting circuit that may be used as part of a quadrature clock generator. The phase shifting circuit comprises a triangle wave generator coupled to receive an input reference signal. The triangle wave generator outputs a pair of complementary triangle wave signals in response to the input reference signal. A comparator having a pair of inputs is coupled to receive the pair of complementary triangle wave signals. The comparator outputs an output signal having a predetermined phase relationship with the input reference signal in response to a comparison between the pair of complementary triangle wave signals.
