  • Patent number: 6202329
Abstract: An apparatus for removing snow from an inclined surface, including a frame member having snow-cutting legs and connected to an elongated handle member, wheels of at least 3 inches in diameter attached to the snow-cutting legs for allowing the frame member to traverse the inclined surface without being hindered by uneven terrain, a snow cutting element extending between the snow-cutting legs and disposed a predetermined distance from the inclined surface, an elongated flexible snow slide member having an end proximate the snow cutting element and a low coefficient of friction to facilitate the sliding of snow down the snow slide member when the snow slide member is disposed on the inclined surface, and a snow rake member hingedly coupled to the frame member for raking snow from the inclined surface.

  • Patent number: 4423939
Abstract: A multiple imaging attachment 30 is provided for achieving proper multiple imaging when the amount of light is changed to expose different positions of a film frame. The multiple imaging attachment 30 is coupled to a camera 10 so that an opening 60 in the multiple imaging attachment will transmit light to a lens 14 and the opening 60 and is rotatable to direct light to selected portions of the lens 14 to expose selected portions of the film frame. The mask 64 is slidably mounted to move along a predetermined path transverse to the camera lens 14 to maintain a defined relationship between the mask and the lens and compensate for the changes in light. When the amount of light is changed while exposing different selected portions of a film frame the mask is selectively moved to maintain the defined relationship between the mask and the lens thereby assuring the necessary blending and overlapping between adjacent exposures to provide proper multiple imaging.

  • Patent number: 4200657
Abstract: A method of treating an agricultural product, including the steps of placing the product within a storage container; providing a forced air supply to the container; introducing a gaseous chemical into the container, the particular chemical being selected for minimal sorption of the chemical by the product; and circulating the air and chemical mixture within the container through the product at a low rate of flow, utilizing the forced air supply, for a time sufficient to evenly distribute the chemical throughout the product volume. The rate at which the air is circulated is less than approximately 0.006 cfm/bu and is preferably maintained approximately between 0.0015 cfm/bu and 0.0008 cmf/bu. Hydrogen phosphide (phosphine) gas generated from aluminum phosphide is preferred as the chemical when the process is used for fumigation, but other gaseous fumigants exhibiting a low rate of sorption by agricultural products may also be used.

  • Patent number: 4174389
Abstract: A method for the selective lysis of collagen fibrils located in the ocular region of a mammal comprising injecting into said ocular region an effective amount of a pharmacologically suitable solution comprising collagenase; and contacting said fibrils with said solution for a period of time sufficient to lyse said fibrils.
