Abstract: A proofer tray assembly with a circular cup having a stepped configuration providing a series of substantially horizontal annular surfaces forming ledges for retaining a dough release agent such as sifted flour or sprayed oil.
Abstract: A defrost control system is provided for initiating one or more (defrost) timing cycles each at a different time and for terminating the cycles at the end of their respective predetermined (defrost) periods. The unit generally includes a solid-state, microprocessor based, programmable twenty-four hour timer, and a display panel. The system also includes a proportional defrost module which measures the absolute humidity of the atmosphere and adjusts the defrost initiate time(s) in accordance therewith.
Abstract: A method of making lap seams by providing a constant overlap of the cut edge portions of two pieces of material to be joined together by a seam, stabilizing the overlapping material to prevent relative movement therebetween, rotating the overlapping material causing each piece of material to fold over the cut edge of the other piece of material to form the lap seam, and providing a double row of stitches each extending along a different one of the folded edges of the seam.

Abstract: A micro-switch having an actuating mechanism comprising a pusher bearing directly on a conductive contact carrying spring blade which is trap mounted and pivotable at an anchor point distal from said contact(s), and a lever actuator hinge mounted to the switch case by means of laterally projecting trunnions having flat portions which are pivotable on fulcrum pivot points formed integrally in spaced axially aligned alcove portions in the switch case.
Abstract: A loop folder and feed apparatus for a drop belt loop tacker comprising means for folding both ends of the belt loop with the folded upper end extending past the fold of the lower end to provide an exposed tab or flag to be sewn, stabilizer means for clamping the loop during folding and the folded loop being clamped by the folding means while being presented to the stitching station of the tacker.
Abstract: A rotating drum divider and an improved assembly for use in a cylinder of the rotating drum type dough divider comprising a sleeve positioned in the cylinder forming seals on both sides of a pair of diametrically opposed guide slots connected to atmosphere and a pair of ducts communicating with the cylinder at opposite ends of the sleeve which are alternately connected to pressure and vacuum, a double acting piston having a head in each end of the cylinder and a piston rod portion extending from each head into the sleeve, and a scaling rod joining the adjacent ends of the piston rod portions together, and reciprocating to cause the rod portions and their heads to reciprocate together in the cylinder as a double ended piston.
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for controlled pressure testing at least one membrane filter in an on site of use housing, and to simultaneously test a plurality of membrane filters in a covered common housing at the site of use to independently determine by visual flow indicators if each filter is acceptable for use or is defective.
Abstract: A miniature low profile relay having discrete bobbin and stationary contact block sections mechanically affixed together. A closed-loop pusher member having a window portion is interposed between the bobbin and stationary contact block sections. A tongue portion of the stationary contact block section extends through the window of the pusher for being received in force-fit within a recess portion of the bobbin section. An E-core having a center arm which extends through the bobbin section with a protruding end portion and having two outer arms having end portions, with each end portion being received in a slot of the contact block section.
Abstract: In the formation of the components of a jig for profile stitching of garment parts, a profile formed in one component is used to create associated profiles in a second component and subsequently one of the associated profiles of the second component is used to create a related profile in the first component.
Abstract: An electromagnetic contactor having a box shaped frame DC solenoid, a plunger with one end attached to a stamped metal bracket which, in turn, is attached to a pusher assembly. The pusher assembly includes the movable contacts. As the solenoid plunger is extended and retracted, the contacts associated with the assembly will engage and disengage in response thereto. The solenoid is mounted in a base and is biased up against the carrier by a curved spring washer. The coil terminals are part of the solenoid and are trapped or contained between guide walls of the base to provide strain relief. The coil terminals are not rigidly attached to the base so as to allow the solenoid to float and to prevent fatigue of the terminals.
Abstract: An automatic motorized door closure having an arm freely movable on a motor shaft in response to opening a door and after a time delay being connected to the motor shaft and automatically moving the door to a closed position.
Abstract: An interval timer has a cross-shaped cam with elongated arms and is interposed between a slot moving disc and a micro-switch. Adjustable pins are disposed on the outer extremities of the disc and engage the inner ends of the cross-shaped cam arms. The outer ends of the arms rotate with increased velocity causing rapid momentary actuation of the switch.
Abstract: In a method of and apparatus for top stitching parallel to the edge of a garment panel in which edge is a corner, there are provided means for detecting the approach of the corner and thereupon reducing the speed of movement of the panel through the machine and means acting on the underside of the panel to impart a turning motion thereto.
Abstract: A circuit breaker with an electrical insulator slide interposable between two generally convex contacts thereof and a rocker button rotatably trap mounted on a protrusion extending from the inside wall of the case which interacts wtih pivot points at one end of the slide to translate the rocking motion of the button into a linear motion displacement of the slide. The slide includes generally parallel elongate spaced apart standoff protrusions adapted to maintain the operating electrical contact surface of the movable contact withdrawn from contact with the slide when in the tripped position and during a resetting of the circuit breaker. The slide also includes a contoured portion adapted to generally mate with curved portions of but be visually distinguishable from the rocker button to present a readily discernable indication that the circuit breaker is in the tripped condition.
Abstract: An electrically conductive terminal having barbed portions on one end thereof, and a split pig-tail portion on the opposite end thereof. The barbed terminal end is force fitted into an aperture in a plastic housing of the solid state relay. The pig-tail portion extends downwardly into the interior space of the housing and a printed circuit board is inserted over the pig-tail. The pig-tailed terminal end is then spread to hold the printed circuit board within the package.
Abstract: In a sewing machine adapted to stitch a garment panel held in or on a jig which is to be passed through the machine and turned in its own plane at a corner thereof, means are provided for detecting the approach of the corner and auxiliary means operative to assist in the turning of the jig at the corner.
Abstract: A pull-to-turn rotary switch having an outer sleeve shaped housing into which a sleeve adapter is inserted and aligned by means of mutual detents. The sleeve adapter is provided with a washer shaped bottom plate which divides the housing into two chambers, one of which contains a biasing spring and a dual stop means and the other contains the switch contacts and a contact plate or rotor driven by the innermost end of the actuating shaft to which it is slidably keyed. The dual stop means includes two separate and distinct detent discs each cooperating with a separate and distinct detent stop pin or pins.
