  • Patent number: 5450955
Abstract: This invention provides a golf bag with an integral bottom section that will stabilize the golf bag in a free standing upright position. The bottom section implements three downward protruding feet arranged triangularly. The foot extending from each vertex is located at a distance beyond the circumference of the golf club container. The tripod positioned feet carry the weight of the golf bag. With downward pressure applied the feet may be used to penetrate the grassy surfaces of a golf course thereby aligning the golf bag vertically. The second and fourth embodiments of this invention give the user the option of extending the feet laterally to give further stability. A triangular shaped throat structure is provided with cross members forming four openings at the top of the golf bag. Finally, an additional handle is provided at a point at or above the throat structure of the golf bag and adjacent to and beyond the circumference of the throat structure.

  • Patent number: 4995398
Abstract: Thermography visually shows small temperature differences in either color or black and white. In heart by-pass operations, thermography is used to determine whether each by-pass is successful (i.e. the patency of the by-pass) and resulting flow directions and profusion during the course of the operation. The methods used include the use of scanning thermal camera, image processing, temperature differentials, and displaying images in real time.

  • Patent number: 4939884
Abstract: An apparatus for filling receptacles with honey comprising heating means and pumping means to force the honey in a circular shaped filler with a plurality of feed tubes arranged like spokes on a wheel. A conveyor nestles the receptacles between clogs of the conveyor. As each feed tube is inserted in the receptacle, the receptacle is filled. Additionally, the receptacle, which is moving on the conveyor, causes the filler to rotate so that each successive receptacle is filled by the next feed tube. A bottom sealer and a top sealer gradually squeeze the ends of the receptacle until they are cut and sealed by a current carrying wire.

  • Patent number: 4929122
Abstract: A fish protection system for dams comprises a series of modular units which interconnect by male and female fittings on each side of the modular unit. Each modular unit comprises a casing, an inner box and an outer box for anchoring the unit to a stream bed and side frames. A screen and cleaning mechanism can be placed within the modular units where the screens clean and direct debris and fish to a fish ladder. A cleaning comb or cutting bar moves around the modular unit such that it keeps the screens clean and directs the debris and fish to the fish ladders. The cleaning comb by use of its rounded tooth form, minimizes flow at the screen in order that fingerlings won't be harmed by the cutting edge. A fish ladder provides a constant flow by maintaining the same depth of water by a hinged ladder.

  • Patent number: 4866870
Abstract: A holder for releasable securement of cartridges in condition for simultaneous loading of the cartridges into the chambers of a revolver's cylinder. The holder comprises the cylindrical body, having a plurality of axially extending, radially distributed cartridge-receiving bores adapted to align with and introduce the rounds into the revolver's cylinder chambers. The holder also includes a locking device which holds the cartridges by the rims of the cartridges, and this locking device can be released automatically as the cartridges are introduced into the chambers of the revolver. A free rotating sleeve allows the rotation of the holder such that the cartridges slide easily into the revolver. A plurality of legs attached to the holder allow for positioning the holder in proper alignment with the revolver's cylinder without touching projections of the revolving cylinder or the revolver itself.

  • Patent number: 4826189
Abstract: A novel wishbone system attaches single or dual axles of wheeled vehicles to a vehicle frame where such system can be used for driving or following axles and steering or non-steering axles. A solid wishbone is attached to the axle and is further attached to the vehicle frame by a fixed ball and socket arrangement. Furthermore, a telescoping wishbone ball and socket are attached to the vehicle frame by a telescoping wishbone pivot pivotably mounted to the telescoping wishbone casing. One end of the telescoping wishbone shaft moves within the telescoping wishbone casing and the other end of the telescoping wishbone shaft contains the telescoping wishbone socket. The telescoping wishbone ball is fixably attached to the solid wishbone near the axle or directly to the axle. The basic system includes upper and lower suspension supports between which are placed airbags or coil springs. The airbags are placed at the outer extremity of each suspension support.

  • Patent number: 4807929
Abstract: A stackable chair having a sliding compartment such that the stackable chairs may be placed one on top of the other without the necessity of removing the sliding compartment. The sliding compartment is attached to the back of the back rest of the stackable chair by slide guides. The top of the back rest of the stacked chair meets the bottom of the slideable shelf of the chair being stacked, and causes the slideable shelf to move upward within slide guides until the chair is firmly positioned on the stacked chair. Each additional chair to be stacked is accomplished in the same fashion.

  • Patent number: 4797132
Abstract: A gas control apparatus, designed primarily for sewage treatment plants, comprising a large central storage tank containing water with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a gas inlet under pressure a gas flow unit containing in part a baffle with holes, a gas outlet, and a safety outlet venting to the atmosphere. By adjustment of the fluid outlet, a constant water level is maintained to provide constant back pressure. By adjustment of safety depth outlet, the pressure at which the gas is vented to atmosphere is controlled. Specifically, the gas control apparatus performs five functions: (1) limits back pressure, (2) acts as a flameback trap, (3) eliminates fluid vapor and other soluble impurities from the gas, (4) cools the gas to fluid temperature, and (5) protect system from high pressure caused by blockage either before or after the apparatus.
