Abstract: An electric field emission device includes a set of parallel strip-shaped cathode electrodes on the back substrate, on which a film of carbon nanotube is deposited as electron emitting material. Electrons are emitted from the carbon nanotube film in response to an electric field it comes under when a cathode electrode and a grid electrode, which is disposed on the bottom surface of a grid plate spaced apart from the back substrate, are applied with data and scan signals respectively.
