Abstract: A joint detector detects a joint in an adhesive tape supplied from a tape supply section, and a computing unit determines a suitable cutting position of the adhesive tape for removing the joint in accordance with the detected results. A controller controls each mechanism to operate so as to satisfy the determined results by the computing unit. Thereafter, the adhesive tape including the joint is cut and removed.
Abstract: The physical quantity measurement device involves a terminal unit, a sensor, a storage unit, an output unit, a communication unit, a control unit, and a discriminating unit. The terminal unit has a power terminal, an output terminal, and a ground terminal. The communication unit uses the power terminal in order to receive a serial signal from an external device. The control unit has an adjusting mode and a normal mode. The discriminating unit decides that the external device requests either the adjusting mode or the normal mode based on whether or not an electrical potential of each of the power terminal and the output terminal satisfies a predetermined condition. The control unit selects the normal mode when the discriminating unit decides that the external device requests the normal mode, and selects the adjusting mode when the discriminating unit decides that the external device request the adjusting mode.
Abstract: A pulp feeder for used paper recycling apparatus being installed in a room of a small shop or the like, friendly to the environment, low in running cost, and capable of maintaining a high confidentiality is presented. The pulp feeder includes a partition member disposed slidably on the downside of a running endless mesh belt, and a paper making frame body disposed slidably on the upside of the mesh belt, and an overflow gate is provided in the paper making frame body for keeping constant the water level of the collected pulp suspension, and the pulp suspension supplied in the paper making frame body is collected up to a specific water level defined by the overflow gate, and is uniformly diffused and supplied on the upside of the running mesh belt. Accordingly, if the supply water volume of pulp suspension fluctuates, the water level of pulp suspension staying in the paper making frame body is always kept constant, and the weight of the wet paper manufactured on the mesh belt is stabilized.
Abstract: To provide a sterilization method of container-packaged food which has a high effect on mixture food of solid food/soup and a filling system where all processes and devices can be simplified, a pre-seal lid material (PS), that has been cut to a dimension covering the opening of a cup filled with solid food, e.g. a dimension corresponding to the outer circumference of the flange of the cup, is fixed to a cup holder (CH) at a position for covering the cup opening by means of a holding bolt (31a) without being fusion bonded to the cup flange portion (CF), while a ventilation state between the head space of the cup and the air in a sterilization chamber is maintained. Thereafter, steam sterilization to the cup is performed in the sterilization chamber and the cup is transported to a clean box, filled with sterilized soup.

A dispensation tip 20 is provided with a dispensation nozzle 19 attached to its distal end, a syringe having a hollow inner portion, that is connected to a proximal end of the dispensation nozzle 19, and a plunger 22 that is allowed to slide in the cylinder 21 of the syringe so that suction and discharge processes are carried out on the liquid by the dispensation nozzle 19. A separation member having airtightness for separating an inside of the nozzle 19 from the outside and flexibility for allowing the plunger 22 to freely slide is placed between the proximal end of the plunger 22 and the proximal end of the cylinder 21.

Abstract: The limiter circuit of this invention is a limiter circuit which, by switching action of a pair of transistors, allows passage of only signal voltage components of an input signal voltage included in ranges of an upper limit signal voltage and a lower limit signal voltage. With this construction, the pair of transistors carry out comparisons between the input signal voltage and threshold signal voltages and line switching at the same time. Therefore, there is no influence of propagation delay speed, and no switching noise occurs at times of line switching. Since diodes are not used, a high-speed limiter circuit can be manufactured.
Abstract: A leg training equipment has a base fixed in place, a support portion configured to support a part of a user's body, and a coupling mechanism provided between the base and the support portion. The coupling mechanism movably couples the support portion to the base such that a load applied to a leg of the user by the user's own weight changes by a relative positional displacement between a foot position and a position of center of gravity of the user. In addition, the coupling mechanism limits a movable direction of the support portion such that at least when the load applied to the leg increases, a direction of the relative positional displacement between the foot position and the position of center of gravity is substantially limited to a direction of flexion and extension of knee joint. Thereby, it is possible to efficiently provide the user with an exercise that applies less load on the knee joint.
Abstract: A radiation detector of this invention has an insulating, non-amine barrier layer disposed between exposed surfaces of a radiation sensitive semiconductor layer, a carrier selective high resistance film and a common electrode, and a curable synthetic resin film. This barrier layer can further inhibit a chemical reaction between the semiconductor layer and curable synthetic resin film, and can prevent an increase in dark current which flows through the semiconductor layer. Since no chemical reaction occurs between the barrier layer and semiconductor layer, the semiconductor layer will never be degraded. Further, with an auxiliary plate disposed on an upper surface of the curable synthetic resin film, it is possible to manufacture a radiation detector free from warpage and cracking due to temperature change.
Abstract: A communication device 1 has a first protocol analysis section 11 that analyzes a status of a transmission signal Vs received at a transmission signal receiver 10. A transmission controller 14 determines a communication available period and a communication unavailable period based upon the analysis result. When the communication available period is determined, the transmission controller 14 allows a second protocol signal transmitter 12 to transmit a packet in accordance with a second protocol to a signal line Ls. With this result, it is possible to transmit a relatively large amount of data while suppressing noise influence caused by a varying condition of a carrier, in contrast to a prior system in which the transmission signal is superimposed only by a simple determination of the carrier condition. Thus, it is possible to share the signal line Ls with the time-division multiplexing transmission system and improve reliability of data transmission.
Abstract: A channel switching valve is disclosed. The channel switching valve has a stator and a body section each having a connecting surface. The stator and the body section are removably fixed to each other by bolts at their connecting surfaces. Each of the connecting surfaces has a protruding/recessed pattern formed thereon, and the patterns are designed to fit into each other. By rotating the stator and the body section relative to each other, the stroke of a spring is changed between a position where the protruding/recessed patterns of the stator and the body section are fitted into each other and a position where they are not fitted into each other. The spring is held in the body section in its compressed state to urge the rotor toward the stator. An urging force for pressing the rotor against the stator is adjusted by changing the stroke of the spring.
Abstract: An organic EL (electroluminescence) element capable of efficiently recombining holes and electrons in a light emitting layer and also improving efficiency and lifetime of the element. The element comprises electrodes 1 and 2, the light emitting layer 4, and transport layers 3 and 5 that transport holes and electrons to the layer 4. The layer 4 contains compound functioning as electron accepting dopant and/or substance functioning as electron donating dopant. Accordingly, it is possible to optimize the injection valance of holes or electrons into the layer 4.

Abstract: A distribution of AC electric field regularly arranged in a cell is formed while storing a sample having particles dispersed in a medium in the cell, whereby the particles are dielectrically migrated in the medium to generate a diffraction grating by density distribution of the particles. Diffracted light generated by irradiating the diffraction grating by density distribution with measuring light is detected, and evaluation of dielectrophoretic intensities of the particles and/or the medium is performed from the detection result. According to this method, evaluation of dielectrophoretic characteristics can be performed without adhering a phosphor to particles, and since even a particle small in size can achieve a detection level by collecting a number of such particles to form a diffraction grating, dielectric characteristics of microparticles of several nanometers in diameter can be thus quantitatively measured with high sensitivity.

Abstract: According to a spurious pulse generator of this invention, integrating circuits are provided at a plurality of stages for carrying out integrating operations about time and outputting a spurious pulse, the integrating circuits being constructed to input a voltage value for controlling a crest value which is a peak swing of the spurious pulse to an amplifier forming an integrating circuit at a most upstream stage when a switching element is ON, and to input a constant voltage value when the switching element is OFF. As a result, the voltage value before ON-state and after ON-state of the switching element does not change but remains a constant voltage value, thereby obtaining a desired spurious pulse.
