  • Patent number: 5700266
Abstract: An elongated drill and suture guide is inserted through a posterior portal during arthroscopic surgery to repair a capsulo-labral separation. The drill and suture guide has a linear longitudinal bore for a drill pin to bore through the glenoid rim of the shoulder joint. A suture guide is inserted through the bore and through the hole in the glenoid rim and through the detached glenoid labrum. A suture is then passed through the guide and is manipulated and tied conventionally to secure the glenoid labrum in approximately the anatomically correct position.
