Abstract: A method for correcting coaxial light image edge location errors in a precision machine vision inspection system is disclosed. The method comprises comparing an edge position measurement of a workpiece edge feature using coaxial light and stage light. Edge position measurements using stage light have a lower uncertainty than that of coaxial light. Position correction factors may be determined from the difference between the two edge position measurements. The position correction factors may be stored for correcting subsequent edge position measurements that are based on images acquired using coaxial light. In some embodiments, position correction factors may be determined based on comparing edge position measurements for a plurality of edges.

Abstract: Generally described, the present invention is directed to a network operating system that provides more effective ways of leveraging the connectivity of computer networks. In one embodiment, an XML virtual machine is implemented that accepts high-level application code written in an XML programming language as input. Functionality is provided to interpret or translate the application code written in an XML programming language into code that is suitable for execution across computer platforms. Moreover, the XML virtual machine supports the Model View Controller (MVC) design paradigm that facilitates true data abstraction from applications to a common data model. Multi-instance applications, with each instance potentially supporting multiple views, may be created and executed.
Abstract: A suspension system for a land vehicle has at least one rear suspension device and at least one front suspension device. The rear suspension device includes a first biasing member disposed within a first housing and is configured for mounting on a rear axle housing of the land vehicle. The front suspension device includes a second biasing member disposed in a second housing and is configured to be at least partially received within a bump stop support of the land vehicle.
Abstract: A rotary radial expand collapse tire building drum comprises segments defining an outer circumference of said drum, said segments being divided into two sets, one set being located to each opposite side of a transverse central plane of the drum, said central plane being disposed normal to a rotational axis of the drum, said two sets being adapted to be driven by a rotatable hub assembly between a collapsed position in which a formed tire carcass may be removed from the drum and an expanded position in which a tire carcass may be formed on said drum wherein each set of segments are mounted for selective relative axial using positioning means, and adjustment means is located outside of the rotational axis of the drum, which is arranged to adjust an overall working width of said drum. The invention allows for an axial positioning mechanism of a REC building drum.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for displaying the curve when a desired climate has been reached in a cooking compartment of a cooking appliance by taking into account at least one actual value of the first variable that changes over time and is characteristic of the climate in the cooking compartment. Said method is characterized in that the actual value of the first variable is detected at least once during an interval t0 to t1 and is compared with a desired value of the first variable, said desired value characterizing the desired climate, a point in time t2 when a second interval is to begin and/or the point in time t3 when the desired climate has been reached is/are estimated in accordance with said comparison, and the course of the first variable over time is taken into account at least once when estimating the point in time t3 during a second interval t2 to t3, wherein t2?t1. The invention also relates to a cooking appliance for carrying out such a method.

Abstract: A method for multi-hop data transmission in an ad-hoc network comprising concealed nodes. A source node determines the probability of a collision-free transmission of data to the following nodes and if a high probability of collision-free transmission is present, transmits a data packet to a following node without coordinating transmission-channel allocation with concealed nodes disposed in the vicinity of the next node.

Abstract: A mono cusped patch for repairing cardiac outflow tract is disclosed in the present invention, which comprises an inner patch, an external supporting patch and a leaflet. An approximate semicircular slit is provided on the inner patch. The inferior border of the leaflet is set between the inner patch and the external supporting patch along the slit. The inner patch, the inferior border of the leaflet and the external supporting patch are stitched together along the slit edge of the inner patch with sutures. The inferior border of the leaflet is fixed between the inner patch and the external supporting patch. According to this special stitching structure, the present invention also provides a valved conduit of good performance.
Abstract: A compact disc coupled to a wireless communication device comprises the disc with a metalized outer portion, a wireless communication chip and a pair of tabs. The first tab may capacitively couple the wireless communication chip to the metalized portion of the disc. The second tab may be positioned in an inner portion of the disc with a gap delimited by the metalized portion and the second tab. A slot antenna is thus formed through which the wireless communication device may communicate. Wireless communication chip allows disc to be interrogated and identified for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to security, advertising and promotion, and issuing of related coupons to customers for subsequent purchases.
