  • Patent number: 8154484
Abstract: An organic light emitting display and a driving method thereof capable of reducing power consumption. A driving transistor controls a current through an organic light emitting diode of the display. A voltage controller supplies a first voltage to the anode of the OLED of at least one specific pixel and controls the cathode voltage of the OLED in correspondence to a second current through the OLED, such that the cathode voltage corresponds to the first voltage supplied to the OLED. Thus, the driving transistor can be driven in saturation mode with consistent current in spite of process variations, with a reduced power consumption.

  • Patent number: 8151856
Abstract: A film peeling device for peeling a film (11) adhered to a front surface of a wafer (20), on the back surface of which a dicing tape (3) is adhered, the wafer is integrated with a mount frame (36) into one body, comprises: a movable table (31), which can be moved horizontally to support the wafer and the mount frame while the surface protection film is being directed upward; a covering means (80) for covering an adhesive face (3a) of the dicing tape, which is exposed between the mount frame and the wafer at one end (28) of the wafer; and a adhering means (46) for adhering a peeling tape (4) to the film at the end of the wafer. The film is peeled from the front surface of the wafer by moving the movable table from the other end (29) of the wafer to one end after the peeling tape has adhered. Due to the foregoing, while the peeling tape is being prevented from adhering to the dicing tape, the film can be peeled from the front surface of the wafer in a shorter period of time.

  • Patent number: 8154445
Abstract: Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) pseudorange measurements must be compensated for receiver hardware and directionally dependent antenna errors to obtain desired accuracies for high precision GNSS positioning applications. The problem of pseudorange measurement errors resulting from directionally dependent group delays is not an issue in Fixed Reception Pattern Antenna (FRPA) GNSS sensors. However, for the complex case of a GNSS receiver employing a controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) and dynamic beam steering, the multiplicity of combinations of antenna element outputs makes compensation of directionally dependent antenna induced errors more difficult, as the simple subtraction that might be used for FRPA compensation does not work with a CRPA. Example embodiments provide for frequency domain correction of GNSS pseudorange measurements in CRPA receivers.

  • Patent number: 8155807
Abstract: A method of predicting a target type in a set of target types from at least one image is provided. At least one image is obtained. A first and second set of confidence values and associated azimuth angles are determined for each target type in the set of target types from the at least one image. The first and second set of confidence values are fused for each of the azimuth angles to produce a fused curve for each target type in the set of target types. When multiple images are obtained, first and second set of possible detections are compiled corresponding to regions of interest in the multiple images. The possible detections are associated by regions of interest. The fused curves are produced for every region of interest. In the embodiments, the target type is predicted from the set of target types based on criteria concerning the fused curve.

  • Patent number: 8151646
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system for measuring vibration includes multiple spatially separated detectors coupled to a differential signal analyzer and a light source. The light source generates a coherent light beam onto a target that is reflected as backscattered light. The differential signal analyzer receives signals from each of the detectors indicative of backscattered light from the target. The differential signal analyzer then applies a phase shift to a subset of the received signals and combines the phase shifted signals with signals from other detectors to form a differential signal representative of physical vibration of the target.

  • Patent number: 8154402
Abstract: A wireless temperature sensor network includes a base station unit which transmits query signals cyclically addressing a plurality of temperature sensor transponder units. The transponder units are passive and derive operating power from the query signal to encode measured temperature data into a reply signal which is received by the base station. In a dual carrier embodiment, the query signal and reply signals are transmitted on separate frequencies. In a backscattering embodiment, the antennas of the transponder units can be switched between an absorption mode in which the query signal is received and a reflection mode in which the query signal is reflected back to the base station. The transponder antennas are switched in such a manner as to encode temperature data in the reflected signal to form a reply signal. The network embodiments are particularly applicable to space based platforms.
