Abstract: A grip and backweighting assembly for an athletic implement includes an insert which attaches to the distal end of the athletic implement grip. A series of weights and, optionally, dampers can be mounted to a distal end of the insert for adjusting the backweighting of the athletic implement. In this manner, backweighting can be custom tailored to a user of the athletic implement by easy removal or attachment of the weights as well as ease of removal and/or attachment of the weight-containing insert to the athletic implement. The insert also includes features to facilitate securing the insert to the athletic implement handle.
Abstract: An apparatus for forming venting channels in a continuously-formed foam product includes a plurality of channel-forming plates which are removably attachable to the upper endless-type conveyor of a rigid foam laminating apparatus. The channel-forming plates provide a molding surface to form transverse channels in the foam product during the foaming operation. The channel-forming plates are easily removed for repair and/or replacement and include a centering bar which accurately positions each plate on the endless conveyor. The channel-forming plates are configured to form generally U-shaped channels in the upper surface of the continuously formed foam product to provide venting channels when the foam product is cut and used in roof insulation. The product and venting channels therein are sized to provide a continuous channel when a plurality of the foam panels are used as well as to facilitate attachment to standard trusses or joists.
Abstract: An enclosure for covering extremities or containing material such as trash or other objects or articles is described. The enclosure is a sack-like member having a lip extending above the opening or along a side edge of the sack-like member. The lip includes a perforation extending along a portion of the length thereof, either parallel to the opening or to the side edge. An adhesive strip with a removable covering may extend along the length of the lip at selected portions thereof. In use, the perforation is torn to separate the lip into a tie member and a securing member that remains attached to the sack-like member. In one embodiment, an extremity may be inserted into the sack-like member and the tie member can be used to secure the opening around the extremity. In another embodiment, the tie member can be used to seal the opening of the sack-like member such that the enclosure can be used as a container or receptacle in a desired application.
