Abstract: A single vane slat design for use in a sieve or chaffer of a harvester combine. The single vane slat has a weld pocket, preferably on its bottom surface, for receiving a wire on a frame. The single vane slat may be formed of a 26 gage material, and may be attached to the wire using two small welds. The weld material is configured to flow into the weld pocket upon being welded, and achieve direct and incidental contact between the wire and the slat. The weld pocket of the slat is configured such that the slat is self-fixturing to the wire, which lends to the ability to weld the slats to the wires while fixed in the frame. This facilitates accommodating a large number of frame types and sizes.
Abstract: A BISR mode and associated method for testing memory. All redundant elements of the memory including the ones which are not used are tested, and interaction between redundant elements of the memory and adjacent functional memory are checked. Repair information is used to repair the memory. In addition, redundant elements which are not needed to be used for repairing the memory are forced to be used, such as by faking defects to remap good elements with redundant elements.
Abstract: A hydraulic pressing unit includes a hydraulic pump, supply and hydraulic chambers, moving and stationary parts, a restoring spring, and a return valve provided within or attached to a housing. The moving part is displaced from a starting position into a pressing position as a result of filling the hydraulic chamber with a hydraulic medium from the supply chamber by using the hydraulic pump. The return valve is automatically displaced into an open position as a result of a hydraulic pressure corresponding to the pressing position, and the restoring spring moves the moving part. A piston acts on the flow of the hydraulic medium and lowers the pressure such that the return valve is displaced into the closed position.
Abstract: A cable window regulator (10) is provided which comprises a first pulley (42) rotatably mounted to a first pulley bracket (44) for rotation about a first pulley axis and a second pulley (52) rotatably mounted to a second pulley bracket (54) for rotation about a second pulley axis. A window regulator drive assembly (90) is operably connected to the cable for causing movement of the cable and in turn moving lift plate (60) relative to the first and second pulleys (42, 52). The first pulley bracket (44), second pulley bracket (54) and window regulator drive assembly (90) are mountable to a structure housing the window independently of any window rail.

The automotive lighting assembly includes a first lighting circuit which is operatively connected to the power source for emitting light as a function of electric current. A second lighting circuit is operatively connected to the power source independently from the first lighting circuit. The second lighting circuit emits light as a function of the electric current. The automotive lighting assembly also includes a controller which is electrically connected between the power source and the first and second lighting circuits for independently operating the first and second lighting sources to emit a chosen amount of light in a chosen direction.
Abstract: A rotational angle of a motor operative to propel forward a screw in an injection molding machine is detected at an encoder. An output from the encoder is employed to obtain an angular velocity ? of the motor. From the obtained angular velocity ?, an estimated melt pressure value ?^ that contains no differential term is derived using a certain observer theory. The estimated melt pressure value ?^ is employed to calculate a torque command value TCMD for the motor, which is fed back to the motor. Thus, precise propelling power control unaffected by noises can be executed without the use of a pressure sensor such as a load cell.

Abstract: In one aspect the invention discloses a gas cooktop which is relatively easy to clean and which is not visually complex. The gas cooktop surface is provided with a trivet having two operating conditions. In a first condition the trivet is retracted and is substantially flush with the cooktop surface. In a second condition the trivet is extended to support a cooking vessel above a gas burner. In another aspect the invention discloses an improved gas burner with a high turn-down ratio. The improved burner includes first and second gas flow passages, a flame front locator, in one of the passages and a burner head. Fuel gas is injected into an end of one of said passages and is ignited to establish a flame at the flame front locator. Secondary combustion air is provided through the other of the passages which on a high setting enables secondary combustion and on a low setting may mix with the hot gases and cool them resulting in a lower temperature at the cooking vessel.

Abstract: To provide an organic synthesizer that can conduct a pressure reaction and an atmospheric reaction in one organic synthesizer and can realize attachment of reaction vessels to the organic synthesizer and detachment of the reaction vessels from the organic synthesizer without applying any load to gas supply/discharge pipes. An organic synthesizer comprising a reaction vessel support part (160), which can support two or more reaction vessels, and pressure regulation means (164) for regulating the pressure within the reaction vessel supported by the reaction vessel support part (160) by supplying/discharging gas. Two or more pressure regulation means (164) are provided for each reaction vessel supported by the reaction vessel support part (160). At least one pressure regulation means (164A) in the two or more pressure regulation means (164) is constructed so as to be detachable from and attachable to the other pressure regulation means (164B).
Abstract: A bicycle is provided including a tubular frame having interconnected tubes defining hollow passageways. A curvilinear hollow handlebar is operatively coupled to the frame. The handlebar includes at least one aperture and an opening providing access to the passageways in the frame. A control lever is operatively mounted to the handlebar for controlling a component of the bicycle. A control cable has a first end fixedly secured to the control lever and a second end adapted to be secured to the component of the bicycle for actuation thereof. The control cable extends through the aperture into the handlebar and through the opening of the handlebar into the passageways of the frame between the first and second ends to conceal the control cable within the frame and the handlebar.
Abstract: A cable or a cable receptacle and a method of forming same are disclosed. The cable lug or cable receptacle has a flat part and a tube portion integrally formed together as one piece. The flat part has opposing surfaces which abut against each other. The flat part and the tube portion are plated with tin such that an integral bond is established between the abutting surfaces of the flat part.

Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly for supporting an occupant above a floor having a recess includes a seat cushion and seat back pivotally coupled thereto. A riser mechanism includes at least one front and rear leg, each leg extending between a lower end pivotally coupled to the floor and an upper end pivotally coupled to the seat cushion. A seat adjustment mechanism disposed between the seat cushion and upper end of the rear leg is operable between locked and unlocked states allowing the legs to pivot about the lower ends thereby moving the seat assembly between a seating position and a stowed position disposed in the recess. An arcuate channel is operatively coupled to the rear leg selectively receiving a laterally extending guide pin mounted to the front leg for operatively coupling the front and rear legs to rotate together as the seat assembly moves between the seating and stowed positions.
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for locking a first door of a motor vehicle in place relative to a second door as the first and second doors abut against each other when closed. The apparatus includes a base plate mounted to the first door. A latch release lever is pivotally mounted to the base plate for movement between a neutral position and a release position. In the release position, the latch release lever actuates at least one door latch to release the first door. A plunger is slidably mounted to the first door and movable between an open position and a closed position engaging the latch release lever. Closing the second door while the first door is closed moves the plunger from the open position to the closed position to prevent the latch release lever from pivoting into the release position.
