Abstract: A process comprising forming an extrudate, preferably in the form of a film, from an ethylene polymer which, in an extruder, melts rapidly and experiences slow shear thinning by melt extruding said polymer through an extruder having an extrusion screw therein with a length to diameter ratio of between about 15:1 to 21:1.
Abstract: The disclosed invention relates to an improvement in apparatus for filling and distributing, in a container of varying configuration, bulk materials having inlet means positioned near the top of the container; and rotor means positioned below; the improvement comprising rotor means having upright vanes defining an unobstructed central area onto which the material is received by the rotor.

Abstract: A novel extruder screw having at least three segments wherein the pitch remains constant in each segment and changes abruptly from one segment to the following segment and wherein the pitch ratio divided by the depth ratio is greater than 2/3.
Abstract: A method for extruding granular low density narrow molecular weight distribution linear ethylene polymers which comprises passing said granular polymers into an extrusion apparatus including an extruder screw, said extruder screw having a feed section wherein said polymers are introduced and thence passed through a transition section and a metering section, wherein each lead in the feed section is substantially the same and each lead in the metering section is substantially the same and wherein each lead in the feed section is 5 to 50 percent greater than each lead in the metering section.
Abstract: Preparation of an ethylene-ethyl acrylate-acrylic acid terpolymer by hydrolysis of ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer in an inert atmosphere at a temperature of from about 150.degree. C. to about 450.degree. C. and a pressure of from about 3 to about 300 kg/cm.sup.2.
Abstract: N-[4-(tert-butyl)phenylsulfenyl]-N-alkylcarbamoyl fluoride compounds are useful as intermediates in the preparation of pesticidally active carbamoyloxime compounds.
Abstract: Certain 2-oximino-tetrahydro-1,4-oxazin-3-one and 5-oximino-1,3-oxazolidin-4-one carbamate esters exhibit outstanding miticidal, insecticidal and nematodicial activity; certain 2-oximino-tetrahydro-1,4-oxazin-3-ones and 5-oximino-1,3-oxazolidin-4-ones are useful intermediates in the preparation of pesticidally active carbamate compounds.

Abstract: Novel hybrid 1,3-dione-carbamate compounds which exhibit utility as insecticides and acaricides. Also included are insecticidal and acaricidal compositions containing these compounds and a method of controlling insects and acarids.
Abstract: A storing and shipping box for bulk solid material is disclosed comprising: a removable top and a base member; said box formed of heavy corrugated material, having eight rectangular, vertical, integral face sections positioned around the outer periphery thereof and a plurality of downwardly-depending integral flaps inwardly folded within said outer periphery to form a portion of the base of said box and providing, when infolded, an opposed pair of enveloping panels for interlocking with opposite ends of said base member; said infolded flaps and base member providing the base and alignment of said box.
Abstract: Gravity flow blending system for granular materials by use of novel internal handling means which provides for a continuous, uniform withdrawal of material from a multitude of locations in a large capacity bin. The invention utilizes basic principles of solids rheology to provide for a natural internal self-regulation which makes it possible to use this system for a wide range of material discharge rates and granular material types.
