Abstract: An electric current sensor having a housing, magnetic circuit with a magnetic core, and a magnetic field detector with a detection cell, positioned in an air gap between ends of the core. The core is made of a non-laminated magnetic material, and the magnetic circuit has a strap made of non-magnetic material welded to the core at each side of the air gap. The magnetic field detector has a support plate on which the detection cell is mounted. The plate has a recess, opposition the detection cell, which houses one end of the magnetic circuit.
Abstract: A method for setting the travel of a press brake comprising at least one sensor, which measures a physical parameter (p) that varies with the force exerted by the punch on a piece of sheet metal placed on the die, and an electronic device that controls the displacement of the mobile apron. Instantaneous bending angle ? under load of the piece is calculated as a function of the displacement; the bearing force (f) of the punch on the piece is calculated using the value of the physical parameter (p); the sequence of values for the instantaneous bending angle/bearing force pair (?, f) is compared to a reference curve (?, f)ref which is pre-recorded during a bending operation involving the same material, and the electronic device calculates a bottom dead center correction taking account of the deviation between the (?, f) pairs and reference curve (?, f)ref.
Abstract: The present invention relates to heating of samples in specimen carriers, and more particularly to the heating of zones of a specimen carrier for differential heating of samples in a specimen carrier, including a specimen carrier in the form of a metallic sheet, in which a matrix of sample wells is incorporated, apparatus for applying electrical heating current through the carrier, having a plurality of electrical current sources, each connected in series across the carrier and together providing a variety of different possible current flow paths whereby localised regions of the carrier may be selectively heated. The current applied is either alternating current, or direct current.
Abstract: The invention relates to a pipette for transferring liquids, comprising the following: at least one piston-cylinder arrangement (3, 4), in which the cylinder (4) is arranged in such a way that it can be provided with a replaceable tip (8) for containing the liquid to be transferred; a piston actuating device (5) for drawing up and discharging the liquid; and a tip ejector device (6). Said ejector device comprises an ejection mechanism (16, 16′) which can be displaced along the cylinder in order to eject a tip (8) from the end of said 24 cylinder. A device (17) for actuating the ejection mechanism is also provided. The invention is characterized in that the ejector device (6) comprises a device for adjusting position (24, 24′, 33, 33′, 39, 39′), which is arranged in such a way that it is possible to modify the limit position reached by an ejection end (22, 22′) of the ejector device at the end of a stroke.
Abstract: A furniture handle comprises a frame having a frame wall defining a cavity. The frame has at least one protrusion opening extending from the cavity through the frame wall. An insert is adapted to be retained within the cavity. The insert has a protrusion extending through the at least one protrusion, opening beyond the frame wall. Preferably the cavity has an insert opening accessible from outside of said frame, such that the insert can be placed into and removed from the cavity. Preferably the insert is made from one of a polymer gel, neoprene, rubber, latex rubber, suitable PVC and polyurethane foams, and styrene or polystyrene.
Abstract: The invention concerns a commutator device (1) for electric motor, comprising a housing part (2) and commutator brushes (3) housed in the housing part, each brush comprising a contact surface (8) designed to be pressed in contact against a commutator of the rotor of the electric motor, and a spring part (9) connected to the contact part (7) so as to exert a force on said contact part towards the rotor commutator. The device further comprises a damping element (14) arranged to absorb the vibrations or movements of the contact part of the brushes. The damping element (14) is a thixotropic lubricant.

Abstract: Disposed above a loading section (16), on which horizontally arranged strip-shaped packaging material (P) is longitudinally movable, is a shaping wheel (20), which has an, in relation to the loading section (16), transverse central axis (22) and is rotatable about the latter. The shaping wheel (20) has a cylindrical peripheral surface (24) and contains a plurality of moulds (32) which are disposed at angular intervals, starting from the cylindrical peripheral surface (24), radially in relation to the central axis (22). The peripheral speed of the shaping wheel (20) corresponds to a slip-free rolling of its peripheral surface (24) on the packaging material (P). Each of the moulds (32) contains a piston (50) which is movable back and forth between a retracted position for filling the mould (32) with substance (M) and an advanced position for ejecting the consolidated formed body (F) in a radially outward direction onto the packaging material (P).
Abstract: A method for marking a compressed digital video signal by embedding a digital signature in the compressed video signal, the signal representing a series of at least two video images, each image being divided into a plurality of regions, the signal including movement vectors representing the movement of the regions between the first and the second image, characterised in that it consists in modifying at least one of the coefficients X or Y of at least one of the movement vectors.

Abstract: The ink-agitator (1) is supported and guided by fixed means between pedestals (2) and (3) above an ink fountain containing security ink. It is driven in alternate movement on its guiding means and its tip is dipping into the ink. Bore (11) receives a detector head in the form of a transformer with primary winding arranged for normally producing a “zero” magnetic field, adjustable ferrite core place in such a manner that the “zero” magnetic field is obtained for a standard magnetic property of the security ink, and secondary winding going out of balance and issuing a signal if the magnetic property of the ink into which the tip of the ink-agitator is displaced undergoes modifications. The output signal is transmitted to feed line (4) with slide contact (6) whereas the ground pole is connected through wire (5) and sliding contact (7).
