Abstract: A transducer system is disclosed for detecting actual or simulated body sounds. An audio signal generation and detection system is disclosed for the purposes of simulating the medical examination of a patient or simulating the listening of sounds seeming to emanate from a live or inanimate body. A signal generator sets up a voltage potential at an electrode physically attached to the body, or electrically connected to a body, thereby setting up a voltage potential on a surface area of the body. An electric field potential sensor or a capacitive electrical sensor placed in proximity to the electrode or body surface then detects the voltage potential. The signals produced by the signal generator can represent heart, lung, bowel or other sounds and the electrical sensor can take the physical form of a listening device such as a stethoscope, thereby creating a simulation of listening to body sounds for medical diagnostic purposes.
Abstract: A medical diagnostic and communications apparatus with audio output comprises an electronic processor for processing stethoscope signals and secondary audio signals. An electronic stethoscope sensor is contained within a housing for transducing body sounds to electronic signals, and is operatively connected to the electronic processor. One or more secondary audio signal sources operatively connects to the electronic processor. A common audio output is connected to electronic processor to convert electronic stethoscope signals or secondary audio signals to acoustic output. These sounds may be produced separately or mixed.
Abstract: An electronic fingerboard for use on a musical instrument comprises a printed circuit board layer with contact electrodes and electronic sensing components. A first double sided adhesive tape is formed over the printed circuit board layer, and a polyester film membrane having carbon printing on the lower surface thereof is formed above the first double sided adhesive tape. A second double sided adhesive tape is formed above the polyester film membrane, and a silicon rubber overlay is mounted over the second double sided adhesive layer. A polyurethane overspray comprising a non-stick coating is then formed on the silicon rubber overlay.
Abstract: The present invention relates to lubrication system for turbocharger(s) [TC] to ensure continuous lubrication of bearings and shaft of the turbocharger with lubricant retention during start and shut down of turbocharger-associated systems thereby enhancing the performance and turbocharger life. The shaft (6) and bearings, are lubricated by introducing pressurized lubricating oil through an oil inlet passage (12) in the bearing housing (4) and after lubricating, the lubricant returns to the engine oil sump located below the turbocharger through the oil outlet passage (13). A non return valve (15) or one way valve in the oil inlet pipe (16) line permits lubricant flow to the bearings during engine running, and when the engine stops and oil pressure falls below the NRV (15) opening pressure, the NRV (15) shuts and traps the lubricant in oil inlet pipe that is above the NRV (15).
Abstract: A motorcycle where the rear wheel of the motorcycle is not only driven but the front wheel is also driven. Power from the motor of the motorcycle is transmitted to a power transmitting joint which includes an output shaft. The power transmitting joint is mounted directly below the steering stem and on the steering axis of the motorcycle. The power to the front wheel is supplied through a chain which connects between the steering assembly and the front wheel with the chain being movable in conjunction with the front wheel when the front wheel is steered and with suspension movement as when bumps are encountered.
Abstract: One possible embodiment of the invention could be a trash bag holder and methodology of operating same, the trash bag holder comprises a resilient strip that is looped to adjustably form a hoop of an desired circumference; a catch mechanism that reversibly fixes the hoop at the desired circumference; a handle with two ends, a first end being pivotally attached to at least a portion of the hoop; wherein the hoop retains and holds open an open mouth portion of a trash bag placed upon the hoop by adjusting the circumference of the hoop to at least meet the circumference of the open mouth portion of the trash bag. The holder may further comprise a base reversibly attached to the handle to respectively orient the hoop parallel to and the handle perpendicular to the ground. The hoop may further encapsulate the base edge in a compact state.
Abstract: A camera platform for three dimensional photography comprises a first support wall having an inner surface, an outer surface and a fastening end, and a second support wall having an inner surface, an outer surface and a fastening end. The first and second support walls are connected to each other along at least a part of their respective fastening ends so as to be substantially at right angles to each other. The inner surface of the first support wall and the inner surface of the second support wall define a quadrant. A fixed camera connector is formed on the outer surface of the first support wall for connecting to a first camera, and an adjustable camera connector is formed on the outer surface of the second support wall for connecting to a second camera. A beam splitter support frame is provided for holding a beam splitter, and the beam splitter support frame is located outside the quadrant between the outer surface of the first support wall and the outer surface of the second support wall.

Abstract: An electronic musical instrument for producing musical notes includes an onset signal sensor for sensing the initiation of a note played on the musical instrument. An electronic fingerboard determines the pitch of the note sensed by the sensor. The electronic fingerboard comprises a first layer of film, a second layer of film and a spacer member between the first and second layers of film. The first and second layers are movable relative to each other between a first inactive position in which the first and second layers are separate from each other along their respective lengths and a second active position in which the first and second layers are in contact with each other at a user selected point along their respective lengths. The pitch is determined by the resistance between the first and second layers at the user selected point.
