Abstract: A golf ball mounting device comprises a flat elongate strip member having an upper surface, a lower surface, a mounting end and a securing end; an elevation member at the mounting end of the elongate strip member, the elevation member being dimensioned so as to receive and hold thereon a golf ball; and a fastening member at the securing end of the elongate strip for fastening the elongate strip to an anchor. The fastening member comprises an aperture having a diameter located at the securing end of the elongate strip member, a strap member extending away from the securing end, and a plug member located on the strap member. The strap member is elongate, and has a width which exceeds the diameter of the aperture. The plug member is a substantially solid cylindrical shaped member.

Abstract: A composition for treatment of a human body comprises a combination of at least one hormone, at least one amino acid, at least one enzyme and/or vitamin, and least one mineral. The relative proportions of the hormone, amino acid, enzyme and mineral in the combination are balanced with respect to each other so as to be present in effective amounts to substantially restore to optimal levels in the body the hormone, amino acid, enzyme and mineral The hormone, amino acid, enzyme and mineral in the combination further operate synergistically to provide both nutrients and command components to enable the body to effectively utilize the nutrients. The invention is also a method of forming a composition for the treatment of a human body.

Abstract: A vise comprises a base member, a fixed end member having a fixed and jaw thereon, and a movable end member having a movable end jaw thereon. The movable end jaw and the fixed end jaw define a space therebetween which can be increased or decreased by movement of the movable end member away from or towards the fixed end member. Fastening means are provided for respectively connecting the fixed end jaw to the fixed end member and for connecting the movable end jaw to the movable end member. The fastening means have receiving means whereby an attachment jaw can be releasably connected to at least one of the fixed end jaw and the movable end jaw.

Abstract: A fabric treatment composition comprises a fatty acid and a silicone elastomer, wherein the composition is used as a pretreatment for the fabric prior to application of ink thereto to facilitate retention and resolution of the ink on the fabric. The composition may also comprise a polyethylene glycol stearate and a fatty acid condensation product. The invention also describes a method of treating a fabric prior to printing thereon with an ink, the method comprising locating the fabric on a frame or base, applying a treatment composition comprising a polyethylene glycol stearate and a silicone elastomer to the fabric, and drying the fabric immediately thereafter. The invention further is for a method of preparing a fabric treatment composition.

Abstract: An integrated power module for generating thermal and electrical power is provided within a housing which includes inlets for fuel and for air, a reformer chamber, a fuel cell stack, and a combustion chamber. Oxygen-containing gas, such as air, is introduced into the module along a path in one direction in heat exchange relationship with reaction products produced in the reaction chamber traveling in an adjacent path, preferably in an opposite direction, to preheat the incoming oxygen-containing gas. A nozzle having an injector for the fuel and for the oxygen-containing gas delivers these gases to the interior of the reformer chamber, where ignition is supplied by a suitable device. The reaction products from the reformer chamber are fed to a fuel cell which will consume certain of the reaction products, such as hydrogen gas, with oxygen provided from the reaction chamber acting as an oxidizing gas.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydrofoil system of a sailing-trimaran having a central hull and two outriggers. Inclined, retractable foils are placed in a head of each outrigger, forward of the center of area of a sail and from the center of gravity of the trimaran. Two additional hydrofoils are arranged each on the stern of an outrigger so that each is clear of the water if the side wind pressure effecting the sail is low. A third additional hydrofoil is arranged on a rudder in the stern of the central hull.

Abstract: A rain deflector for use with a rain gauge comprises a base portion, at least one arm portion having an axis and extending upwardly from the base portion, and attachment means whereby the deflector can be secured to a rain gauge. The arm portion provides an obstruction to rain falling in a direction at an angle to the axis of the arm portion and deposits the rain obstructed into the rain gauge to thereby compensate for rain which would not otherwise be captured in the rain gauge as a result of the direction of the rainfall.

Abstract: A transmission device for farm tractors is disclosed. In the transmission device, a hollow travelling drive shaft and a PTO drive internal shaft are substituted for a typical hollow PTO drive shaft and travelling internal shaft, respectively. The transmission device also has a splined flange for directly transmitting the engine power from the flywheel to the PTO drive internal shaft. In a main change gear unit, a hub sleeve and a main gear shifting shaft are forged into a single structure. A super low-speed change gear unit is connected to a sub-change gear through two sets of shafts capable of allowing the super low-speed change gear unit to be independently operated from the sub-speed change gear unit. The transmission device is thus selectively operated without performing any super low-speed changing action.

Abstract: A safety retainer assembly is disclosed herein for holding a shaped nut in position on a threaded nipple or the like, which includes an annular body having an internal bore configured adjacent one open end to conform with the shape of the nut and having an external shoulder with a stepped opening or hole for receiving the catch of a retaining pin formed in a rectilinear length of a locking clip. Internal splines are provided adjacent the other open end of the body shoulder adapted to receive mating external splines carried on a collar of the nipple to prevent relative movement therebetween whereby the nut cannot back off from its threaded connection with the threaded nipple. The circular locking clip includes a holding ear or dog on one end fitted into the stepped opening at the opposite end thereof from the seating of the release catch that is carried on the other end of the circular safety clip.

Abstract: A composition for controlling bacterial growth/colonization is provided. The composition comprises an enzyme, an anchor molecule coupled to the enzyme to form an enzyme-anchor complex, with the anchor being capable of attaching to a substrate proximal to a bacterial colony. The attachment to the substrate permits prolonged retention time of the enzyme-anchor complex where the bacterial colony is present to increase the effectiveness of the complex. The invention is also for a method of controlling colonization of bacterial plaque in the oral cavity, as well as a method of forming a composition for controlling the proliferation of bacterial colonies in the oral cavity.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition containing 3-(2,2,2-trimethylhydrazinium)propionate and .gamma.-butyrobetaine with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases is disclosed. The composition may be for oral, parenteral, subcutaneous or rectal administration and exhibits low toxicity and a wide interval of therapeutic action safety.

Abstract: A label comprises an upper surface, a lower surface having an adhesive layer thereon to permit adherence of the label to a surface, and a handle portion. The handle has thereon a substantially centrally located pull tab and a series of cuts which permit unfolding of the handle portion into a hanging strip. The cuts are arranged such that the handle portion unfolds along the cuts when the pull tab is pulled. The handle portion has a deadening layer on the adhesive layer thereof.

Abstract: This invention concerns a merchandising display, and in particular an eye level display incorporating internal lighting. The display provides an eye-level merchandising unit, comprising a stage (2) on which to place product (3). A light source (10) is situated below the front of the stage (2) to illuminate product placed at the front of the stage. A transparent screen (12,13) is positioned in front of the light source to allow forward illumination, and signage (14) will often be associated with the transparent screen. A reflector (5) is placed above the front of the stage to reflect light from the light source in the forward direction.
