  • Patent number: 7560080
Abstract: A method for generating ozone from gases containing oxygen. The ozone is generated by silent electric discharge in an installation comprising at least two gaps, which are traversed by the gas, each of said gaps being formed between an electrode and a dielectric that separates each gap from an additional electrode. According to the invention, the restriction of the volumetric flow of the gas of at least one gap is controlled.

  • Patent number: 6881021
Abstract: A telescopic boom (1) for a vehicle (25) or a hoist with a storage rack (6) for at least two box girders (2, 3) guided displaceably in one another in the direction of their longitudinal axes, which are mounted to pivot about a horizontal pivot axle (5) in the storage rack (6) and which can be displaced reciprocally by means of a servo-drive (19) is described. In order to create advantageous structural conditions it is proposed that the longitudinal axles of the box girders (2, 3) form an upwards arched arc of a circle (4) which runs concentrically to a common axis parallel to the pivot axis (5).

  • Patent number: 5533911
Abstract: An electrical cord to plug tension relief adapter and wire saver/protector is provided. The invention consists of a housing containing a cam mechanism, and a universal plug seating head that is assembled and attached securely over any selected electrical cord/plug outfit at the plug end, so as to surround, bridge, and protect the joined point of connection where the plug meets the cord. A multiple pivoting cam mechanism within the housing creates an S-Shaped slotting pattern which is configured to enable the internal threading of various sizes and styles of electrical cords. The multiple cam mechanism engages and securely grips the cord when it is pulled on, and thereby creates a strengthened anchoring position where the tension force is redirected. The universal seating head is designed to encircle, accept, seat, and partially secure the selected plug end, by means of it's distinctive shape.

  • Patent number: 5533082
Abstract: A computer Tomograph having a housing with an aperture (2) for the patient in which computer-controlled scanning devices are arranged to generate computer tomograms, and into which a motor-driven, and also computer-controlled, patient's couch can be inserted from the front of the housing (1). The patient's couch also acts as an operating table, such that as little information as possible is lost in the treatment of the patient between diagnosis and the action on, or treatment of, the patient. The action or treatment can thereby be as close as possible to the diagnosis both in time and place. At the front of the housing (1), there is a plurality of information displays connected to the computer, especially in the form of display screens. In front of the housing (1) there is an operation and treatment area for the patient, to which further diagnostic and/or operative and/or therapeutic auxiliaries are allocated.
