  • Patent number: 8263292
Abstract: A production method is provided by which a copied volume hologram from a multi-layer master is later customized by utilization of the color tuning properties of the light-curable materials used for the application onto personal documents. These holographic individual data, such as a passport photo, are also separately detectable, without the holographic elements copied from the master, that are visible under other viewing angles, impairing the visibility of the individual data. The volume hologram overlay obtained by this method is applied on personal and valuable documents to increase protection against forgery, possesses superimposed optically variable items of information that are separately visible under different viewing angles and give a defined color change under different view angles, wherein at least one of these items of optical information represents individual personal data, in particular a passport photograph.

  • Patent number: 8265202
Abstract: For the reduction of the multipath error of received GNSS navigation signals, a sequential Bayesian estimation is used, with a movement model underlying this estimation, which model is particularly designed for dynamic channel situations. Sequential Monte Carlo methods are used to calculate the posterior probability density functions of the signal parameters. To facilitate an efficient integration in received signal tracking loops, the invention builds on complexity reduction concepts that have previously been used in maximum likelihood (ML) estimators. Applicable with GNSS satellite navigation receivers, e.g. GPS and Galileo.

  • Patent number: 8262523
Abstract: V-ribbed belts are formed by thermoplastic shaping and contain ribs that run at least on a first side in a longitudinal direction of the V-ribbed belt. The first side contains a layer composed of a textile warp-knit fabric made up of two different yarns. The warp-knit fabric is constructed from a first yarn composed of filaments with a module of more than 5N/1000 dtex, and a second yarn composed of filaments with a module of less than 2 cN/1000 dtex, both based on 5% extension. The first and second yarns form a coherent network and the yarns do not twine around one another. V-ribbed belts can be formed using an elastic warp-knit fabric, whose extension is based on the construction of the knitted fabrics. The belts maintain better noise reduction both in the new state and after a relatively long service life.

  • Patent number: 8253106
Abstract: A device for detecting flames in which at least two identical detectors are disposed next to one another. Each detector has an identical signal processing circuit having an amplifier and an A/D converter, and a symmetrical and similar layout, i.e., conductor track placement. Each of the detectors covers a different wavelength range, by way of a preceding filter, and the signal detection takes place at the same time and synchronously, so that a precise analysis of the received radiation occurs using simple algorithms, independent of disruptive influence variables. By using the same detectors and the same signal processing systems, as well as the symmetrical and similar configuration of the conductor track placement, as well as the synchronous control of the signal recording, interference variables occur uniformly on all optical reception channels. This uniform interference can be compensated without complicated algorithms.
