Abstract: A horizontal conveyor for transporting bulk materials, in particular of containers for food, has at least one conveyor belt encompassing at least one assembly surface for the material to be conveyed. There is at least one sliding part, which is moveably guided parallel to the conveying direction thereof, be arranged below the assembly surface of the conveyor belt. At least one drive is assigned to the sliding part for its positively driven motion. There is at least one height-adjustable actuator for the material to be conveyed, arranged on the sliding part. The actuator is capable of being brought into an entrainment position, that projects into the plane of the assembly surface by means of a lifting device. A discontinuous conveyance of materials is possible in a simple manner with this horizontal conveyor.
Abstract: A plastification and injection unit in injection-molding machines for processing of polymer materials, for example rubber, has a plastification screw that is disposed so as to rotate in a screw cylinder, which simultaneously represents the injection piston. The screw cylinder is disposed in an injection cylinder, in an axially displaceable manner. The injection cylinder can be connected with the sprue channel of an injection-molding die by way of a nozzle, and the injection piston has a back-flow barrier. The screw is axially displaceable in the screw cylinder by means of a separate drive. The screw tip projects out of the screw cylinder and has a closure body having a sealing surface for contact with the face surface of the screw cylinder.

Abstract: A method continuously creates a bainite structure in a carbon steel, especially a strip steel by austenitizing the carbon steel; introducing the austenitized carbon steel into a bath containing a quenching agent; adjusting the carbon steel to the transformation temperature for bainite and maintaining the transformation temperature for a certain period of time; and then cooling the carbon steel. The carbon steel stays in the bath until a defined percentage of the bainite structure relative to the total structure of the carbon steel has formed. Residues of the quenching agent are removed from the surface of the carbon steel by blowing the same off when the carbon steel is discharged from the bath, and the remaining structure components of the carbon steel are then transformed into bainite in an isothermal tempering station without deflecting the carbon steel at all.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a piston (10) for an internal combustion engine, having a combustion depression (13) which is provided in the piston head (11) and has an encircling undercut (14), wherein the encircling depression edge (15) which connects the undercut (14) to the piston head (11) has alternately rounded (16, 17) and sharp-edged depression edge regions (18, 19). It is provided according to the invention that the encircling depression edge (15) merges along its entire periphery into a planar encircling face (20) which in turn merges along its entire periphery with a sharp edge into the undercut (14).
Abstract: A filling bell can be used to fill a tubeless tire arranged on a wheel rim with a pressurized gas. The filling bell includes an annular sealing face which can be pressed onto a side wall of the tire. The filling bell also includes a central opening, into which the wheel rim may penetrate. The sealing face is formed by an annular flange which surrounds the opening and includes a plurality of wedge-shaped segments. The width of the wedge-shaped segments increases away from the opening. The wedge-shaped segments are displaceable relative to one another and substantially radially relative to the opening.
Abstract: A homokinetic joint includes an outer hub having outer running tracks, an inner hub having inner running tracks, balls which are guided in pairs consisting of an outer running track and an inner running track and a cage having cage windows, in which the balls are accommodated. The homokinetic joint further includes a sleeve that is firmly connected with the inner hub and disposed coaxial to it and sealing means having an accommodation part that is connected with the outer hub so as to rotate with it. The sealing means have a sealing membrane firmly connected with the outer hub by means of an outer collar, and connected with the sleeve by means of an inner collar, forming a seal, and having a securing ring for fixing the inner collar in place on the sleeve. The sleeve has a circumferential annular groove, into which the sealing membrane engages with an inner annular bead that is formed on.
Abstract: A solution is supposed to be created with a method for generating positively and/or negatively ionized gas analytes for gas analysis in an ion mobility spectrometer or in a mass spectrometer, with which method the gas analyte can be ionized without the restrictions of previous ionization methods for gas analysis in an ion mobility spectrometer or in a mass spectrometer, forming positive and/or negative ions. This is achieved in that the positive and/or negative gas ions are generated by means of a plasma, which is brought about by means of a dielectrically inhibited discharge, whereby the dielectrically inhibited discharge is produced in that a noble gas is passed in through a capillary made of a dielectric material, whereby an alternating voltage is applied by means of two electrically insulated electrodes disposed on the capillary adjacent to the exit region of the capillary, and the gas analyte is passed to the exit region outside of the capillary.

Abstract: The apparatus for separating residues from a thermal waste treatment into one fine fraction and one coarse fraction comprises a housing (1) abutting on swinging elements (2), said housing having a plurality of diagonally offset plates (3.1-3.5) that are disposed one beneath the other and are connected to said housing (1) by their side edges, and being equipped with means (5) for generating a vibration component oriented in the direction of the plates (3.1-3.5) disposed diagonally offset downward. The apparatus further comprises one suction line (6) as well as an inlet opening for a gas that may be passed between the plates for wind sieving. Residues or slag from a waste treatment plant or an incineration plant are supplied to this apparatus in order to separate them into at least one fine fraction and one coarse fraction.

Abstract: A method for attaching a ring element to a piston for an internal combustion engine, in which the ring element is screwed onto the piston body by a thread applied to the radially outer surface of a part of the piston crown, a circumferential groove that is open towards the top is formed into the piston crown in the region of the thread, the groove is filled with solder material, the piston is heated until the solder material liquefies and flows between the thread channels of the thread and subsequently, the piston is cooled. As a result, a secure screw connection between the basic piston body and the ring element is obtained. Furthermore, the cooling channel is sealed with regard to the combustion gases, which stand under high pressure and act on the piston crown.
Abstract: A tunable diode laser system with external resonator in Littrow or Littman configuration has an optical lattice on which the light beam from a laser diode is diffracted, a support element to hold the lattice or to hold a mirror, which reflects the light diffracted by the lattice, and an actuator to change the position of the lattice or the mirror. The tunable diode laser system enables a reliable mode-hop-free tuning and furthermore is easy and economical to realize by having the support element include a carrier, on which the lattice or the mirror is arranged, and a base body, while the actuator acts on the carrier and rests against the base body. The carrier is connected to the base body via linkages, such that a linear deflection of the actuator is transformed into a rotation of the carrier in the plane of the light beam, while the center of rotation lies outside the base body.
